Pre-Plotted Stories That Can Be Run

I have a few campaigns or campaign storylines that can be taken down as an intro to New World of Darkness/Chronicles of Darkness, and I'm always happy to have a chance to run through a story I'm proud of, and tweak it to suit a new audience.

There are several previously run gamesets I can run –

A quick rundown of games I have run for NWOD:

+ ( Over Skype ) Solo/One-on-One. A young man becomes a Vampire and begins to learn at the heels of a radical Carthian, who is enthusiastic about human rights and not at all what he thinks of when he hears the word ‘Vampire’.

+ ( Over Skype ) Group Game with Solos for Players. Mainly Changelings/Mage conflict & complications. ( Full Player List: 2 Changelings, 1 Mage, 1 Werebear with a Changeling Fiance. ) Can be adapted for a new group. No major triggers present.

+ ( Offline ) Group Game. Bens Big Ballas – a Mixed Hunter Group ( Compacts ) that have gained Splats over time. Sex, Drugs, and Chaos. A Rich Ashwood Abbey Member in charge of a Loyalists of Thule Sniper, an Ascending Ones accountant/drug dealer & his brother, and a Network Zero agent. All the INSANE bs they get up to.

- Adventure 1 can be adapted – lots of mindscrew, and… well. If I get into the details it spoils the first twist.

+ ( Offline ) Solo/One-on-One. A trucker gets an odd request, but the pay is good and even if whatever he’s moving is possibly illegal, the payoff is too good to pass up. Can be adapted for a new group or player. Possible Triggers – complications that could end up threatening family, body horror.

+ ( Offline ) Group Game. Mortals who are slowly awakening to Splats. Cross-Bred with Scion – all players have a few pieces from Scion and have the choice between continuing in a splat or cutting that advancement off and going demigod.

- Adventure 1 can likely be adapted. Trapped on a mountain at the mercy of monsters is the best quick summary.

- Adventure 2 is beginning irl at the moment, with the theme of 'creepy carnival'. *cackle* One of the players is returning home to the carnival he helped run as a kid. ;)

+ ( Offline ) Valkyries – This one contains the first solo that can be adapted for Mortals or Hunters. Task Force Valkyrie, putting the Valkyrie back in the Task Force, almost all women in this group, men are designated ‘eye candy’ because I’m a nerd. One of the main themes on the in-person game is reflecting realistic injuries & conflicts – one character is mute, one is deaf, one is missing an eye + has burn scars, all due to ‘in the field’ events – as well as having characters with disabilities, addictions, and neurodivergences.

- First Adventure contains triggers for abuse victims, abuse apologism on part of victims, child death, kidnapping, and other issues that can come out of all of that.

- Second Adventure contains triggers for body horror, arguable mind control, etc.

An adventure in thickly-wooded mountains, a 1-hour hike from a small lakeside villiage.

Requirements: One PC who has come into a windfall – preferably inheritance – of a disused cabin in the mountains that was used as the prior owner’s hunting lodge.

Number of players: Group Preferred for Maximum Impact.. preferably all people willing to collab with the GM behind each other’s backs for Super Duper MAXX Crazy.

Closed Mountain Retreat

A trip to a remote cabin results in Problems. Particularly when you realize you can’t get back down the mountainside.

Requirements: A group of PCs that are dumb enough to go to a mountain retreat that’s cheap as dirt and not listed anywhere else.

Number of Players: Small Group. Can be done with one, but that’s going to get Very Bad Very Quick.

Content: Somewhat dependent on what the players do. Creepy stuff. Darkness. Unseen monsters. Sacrifice.

Life Is A Highway

Requirements: You have to drive the truck. Warning: If you’re not adventurous, it can be veeeery boring.

Number of Players: can be adapted for a group or single player.

Content: complications that could end up threatening family, body horror, dubiously legal business practices

Creepy Carnival

…there’s something going on at the local carnival. Be you a local with a part-time job or someone coming home to the carnival… there’s some stuff you need to figure out.

Requirements: Investment in the carnival – be it family-linked or monetary needs.

Number of Players: One or More.

Content: Clowns. Other Things. The original run is going on and highly flexible.

Children are going missing, but their parents don’t remember them until they’re asked directly and shown evidence. What’s going on?

Requirements: At least one player who is invested in the local shelter – be they staying there or a volunteer… or a P.I.

Number of Players: One minimum, group may be best.

Content: contains triggers for abuse victims, abuse apologism on part of victims, child death, kidnapping, and other issues that can come out of all of that.

Games I Have Not Run Before, But Want To

Trouble In The Woods

Innocents Splat Preferred. You must be this smol to ride.

An innocents one-shot with a high guarantee of mutilation and bad end, though also maybe with survival? This is what happens when I hear REALLY GOOD creepy stories while working.

Smol child goes into the woods near their house in an act of rebellion. Shit gets real.

Plan is: Shortish and very not sweet.

Requirements: Willingness to die? A headstrong smol child who heads into the woods!

Number of Players: One preferred, multiple players might work?

Content: Basically: Innocents is the smol child splat. Uh. So. Very high tw, there, and blood/gore/mouth/eye/body horror is a guarantee.

I'd love to! I'm very bad at writing children so I'd prefer not to do the Innocents one, but I'd be willing to do practically any of the other ones.. @Zin we should talk when I'm not so tired :D?
