As the title says, I've been lurking here for a while and I thought it's about time I said hi to the community!

I've dipped into a lot of different types of arts and crafts in my life - I've got more Origami paper than I know what to do with them, and I'm hoping to actually finish this doily I'm crocheting once my wrist calms down a bit more. Zealously crocheting without thinking about RSI really wasn't a good idea...

I graphic art sometimes too but I haven't arted properly for a long time. I'm also hoping to fix that!

I've also been comparatively recently Officially Certified Autistic by the Big Pharma, which I hoped would settle my identity crisis a bit but it just ... made things more confusing. Hanging around here should help with some of that, probably?

Heya, welcome! :D If you have any questions just ask--I like to think most of us are helpful folks.

You should totally check out Make It So if you're the crafty type! Lots of people here love to show off their creative works, and I'd be pleased as punch to see you joining that club! :)

Hey, nice to meet you! Welcome aboard the Good Ship Kintsugi, a surprisingly seaworthy vessel given the name.

Oh man, I feel you with the origami paper!

Hello and welcome! I offer the incredibly gentle fist bump of crafters with RSI issues :) IMO, this forum is great for all those things, and I hope you have a good time seeking out places to continue delurking!

What kind of things do you like to crochet? I am just learning that yarn craft, my primary focus is knitting/spinning/dyeing but I had to start picking up crochet at some point and I'm trying to get a feel for what kind of projects would be good to do.

Thanks for the warm welcome, guys! I usually lurk around Fan Town or various Brain Issue subforums, but it does sound like I should check out Make It So! May be I'll even stop by with a finished product when I have any, haha.

I pretty much exclusively crochet doilies! Or motifs/coasters, but those are pretty much smaller doilies?
I also started on a tissue paper box cover years ago but it was very repetitive in a monotonous way and I got bored? So it's just sitting there in the closet... half-finished... whoops.

Knitting/spinning/dyeing also sounds impressive, especially if the knitting is done with the yarn you processed yourself!

    seebs' mom Yes, really!

Hello yourself! and welcome. I don't do handicrafts any more (I miss doing counting-thread crossstitch! It was very meditative) but let me point you to jack trash's thread on fiber arts, which is currently exploring spinning silk (starting with cocoons, which is about as basic as you can get)
