Had a cool dream? Put it here!

I had some sort of weird Tolkeinstuck dream last night where trolls were still trolls with grubs and psionics and whatnot, but also Tolkein elves. I was Aradia, and my meteor had come way early, while all the other elf-trolls were still dicking around at CuiviƩnen or maybe even before they had awoken, so I was just growing up alone somewhere in the woods of Middle-Earth. A couple of sweeps later, another meteor crashed with grub Damara on it, so I started raising her. I remember at one point in the dream, she had fallen asleep on my lap and I didn't want to wake her, so I was just levitating around the woods in a sitting position rather than walking even though it was pushing what I could do with my psionics at that age.

The other night I had a dream that I kept finding all these rodents in my old room. Not just mice and rats, though there were plenty of those. There was a guinea pig in my drawer and some jerboas hopping around on my bookshelves. They weren't supposed to be there so I put them all in a big blue plastic container. All in all pretty pleasant.

    MY ONE WEAKNESS.

I actually had a weird Gravity Falls dream the other night. I dreamed that it was revealed that Pacifica was actually a clone and that the original Pacifica had died in infancy, with her parents cloning her out of despair (proof that this was a dream, obvs). She was also apparently a dude somehow--like, I don't think she was trans, but I think her parents raised her as female despite her being a cis guy or something, I forget. And there was an epic sewer chase scene for some reason.

Honestly the main thrust of the dream might make good fic material, if we change it from "Northwests mourning their little girl and cloning her out of grief" to "Northwests being desperate to have an heir somehow and cloning her solely to carry on the family name" and remove the Weird Gender Shit...

I actually kinda want to write it, not gonna lie. XD And I might, because it'd be fun to branch out in the fanfic 'verse.

I feel like I should be able to lucid dream, because every single dream that I remember has been consistent on at least one of two points. There's always two of someone(as in, my brother's corpse is on the bed behind me, and I must carry on a conversation with him for hours on end lest he remember that he's dead and leave me forever), or everyone is speaking a language I am only pretending to understand(as in, incredibly powerful witchy love interest and silent mentor figure get increasingly frustrated as they try to pull me into a nonspecific fantasy adventure while I'm just trying to find my car) or both (as in, me an a cadre of vaguely remembered cartoon/anime/book characters are locked in a shipping container playing an overcomplicated card/dice game to prevent the steadily mounting apocalypse that is happening just outside.)

One consistent theme in my dreams: If my mom shows up, she's ALWAYS a cruel, disturbed bitch who cannot be reasoned with. Granted, she CAN be a bitch IRL, but she's so over the top in my dreams that it's actually pretty funny. (We always laugh about 'em, and we both find ourselves shocked when she acts normally in my dreams...)

Worth noting is that I've had these dreams since I was seven or eight. In fact, the earliest dream I still remember involved me breaking my Game Boy Color by accident, and her refusing to ever replace it or ever let me get a video game system again. (Note again that it was an accident--I dropped it by accident and it shattered.) Then she finally said I could get a new one, but only if it was the same color. Yeah.

Ironically, when I was 15 or so, I broke my DS because I was stupid and had it charging on the floor while open, and I stepped on the top screen and broke it...and she immediately agreed to replace it, because she knows I'm normally careful with my belongings. :P

On New Year's Eve I often have very elaborate dreams. Once it was about trying to rescue some elders from a nursing home, except I was the only one who thought they needed rescue. They knew the end of their lives was coming, and were happy about it because they knew that on the split second before you die you see yourself surrounded by everyone you ever loved. As their lives faded out, I promised they'd all be around me when I died, and then a church bell started ringing, except each ring was the word "bloom, bloom, bloom" over and over again and I saw a large red rose growing inside of me. This is where my username comes from!

This year's was about a person who could walk between different levels of reality and consciousness and see people as they were inside, and gently guide them to a better understanding of themselves. First she visited a man who felt like he didn't know what made him a person, and handed him a tiny magic enamel box containing his memories of defending those who were weaker than him. Then he became her assistant, and together they helped a woman who'd been abused and whose spirit self had hidden inside 100 layers of patchwork fabric, and who eventually emerged from it coated in beautiful wispy fabrics the color of the sunset after it rains. Then they visited a nonbinary person who was bitter about a breakup, and their house was covered in frames with images that flickered between male- and female-shaped bodies and body parts. And this dream was so magical to me, I woke up feeling my life had changed.

Once I dreamed I was a wizard's apprentice and my fellow apprentice was a really sweet, beautiful boy in his early 20s with freckled shoulders and a cloud of curly brown hair, and at some point the wizard got jealous of us because we studied so much we were learning from one another more than from him, and he tried to suffocate my colleague in several layers of magic spiderweb wrapped around him like a cocoon. So I had to kind of... reach inside that structure with my hands, tearing through layer after layer of this kind of gooey, sticky thing, to slowly expose bits of his warm freckly skin, and it was all very warm and soft and we were blushing, and as I released him I knew he loved me and he knew I loved him. This one was actually a sex dream, judging by the fact that it was arousing.

Curiously enough, my sex dreams never involve genitalia proper, they are like these very profound and intimate embraces in which one person kinda reaches into the core of the other, and I wake up from them feeling happy for the rest of the day.

i had a dream when i was a wee one where everyone at my school was suddenly speaking french.
and then i couldn't get in line because i couldn't move or speak so i lay down and fell asleep.
that's my get out of dream thing, weirdly.

i've also had a few fantasies. my sex dreams proper never involve actual sex, just much kisses and cuddlings and me being held.

    *stares at brain. ur weird*
    *brain shrugs*

I'm kind of jealous. I've never had a sex dream. Or even an intimate dream, no sex involved. Mostly I dream about being confused and lost and trying very hard not to let onto that fact.

Ah, but I do have a weirdo dream overworld type deal! It's something like a supermarket, though, which is pretty lame, as far as fantastic dream overworlds go. I remember that I used to start out in the parking lot, looking up at this enormous towering department store, sort of warped, like how you see in animes sometimes where everything's made to look like it's looming over you, but nowadays I usually start somewhere in the produce section.
The freezer section is where nightmares live. Long, twisting, maze nightmares, where everything is endless and untouchable, where nothing I do matters but there's no turning back and no escape. It's always crowded, but the people have no faces and don't move, and it's easy to ignore in the warmer, more sparsely populated areas, but it's cramped and quiet and cold and it's really weird for me to crave human contact but when I do there's no one there, and that's not much fun. I usually avoid it. but sometimes it sneaks up on me, and that's obnoxious.
The baked goods section is were they stock the narrative dreams.
The ceiling is full of colors and fog, and if I look up I get lost and don't dream anything coherent.
And I don't remember the rest! Maybe those three sections are all there is to it! Wonder what that says about me?
