blizzard ruins everything, news at eleven? -offers hugs to @Derpyfishnoms -

damn, i loved playing laser owl. pew pew!

(that, and both arcane and fire mage)

... i started vanilla with a healer druid because vanilla sucked pretty badly in some regards and WE NEED HEALERS!!11!1 (healer: most fucking unthankful job ever)
switched to balance when bc hit and never looked back. (and never played that character in a raid again, i think)

did good as damage dealer (they wanted me in the main raid grp buuuut i was busy not failing horribly in my last year of school) and main tank tho.
and never figured out how to play retribution paladin... didnt make enough damage to offset the damage they took, so i went and leveled protection spec. some people looked at me strangely, i just trucked on.

(also i hate how they handled some of the lore (im still sore abt illidan). i was such a lore nerd. read all the books, did all the quests, both horde and alliance side)

yeah lazer owl was great. :) i dual specd as healer. my dad always tanked (he pulled so much... ;-;)
ive been thinking about playing again but i dont think my current comp could handle it. that, and im afraid of what it might have become you know?

ive mostly been playing mabinogi (f2p but amazing) so if the expansion isnt to you taste try that

    KICKS IN THE DOOR

I only got into it around the start of MoP, though one of my best friends had been playing (and talking about it) since WotLK. Main Holy Priest (HOW DOES DISC WORK IT DOESNT MAKE SENSE TO ME) and mostly other healers too-- Mistweaver Monk and Resto Druid are pretty fun, but Priest is my bread and butter.

Demon Hunter is so much fun and we're kicking around in Legion (doing transmog stuff lbr) before actually setting off into the new expac.

I play with @Mendacity on Wyrmrest Accord mostly, but we do have Moonguard toons as well. RP servers, ftw.

rp servers hereabouts tended to be dead, or not just the damn same as the non-rp servers but even more pretentious xxD but happy to hear youre having fun ::D

... back in vanilla/bc times, an audioblog described disc as the tree for leftover skillpoints and prettier glow.

    versi2 ???????

I love WoW, even though it is undeniably terrible in several ways. I've been playing since I was like... 12? Since the middle of Burning Crusade.

Legion is SO FUN so far! I love new Dalaran! I love my class hall! I love demon hunters! I love double jumping!

My artifact gun came with a free dog, holy shit??

Morven In darkness be the sound and light

Played from late BC through to Warlords. Trying not to fall back in. My main was a Marksmanship Hunter, but I had 8 alts to 90 in Pandaria. And then Warlords just made it too goddamn tedious to keep a bunch of alts at maxlevel and I got basically sick of the garrison and its maintenance.

I am currently playing. I have played since BC up until MoP, played spottily in MoP, then just quit and skipped WoD until the very last patch of it.

My horde characters are on Moon Guard, my alliance characters are on Wyrmrest Accord.

Gotta get going in Legion horde side as a resto shaman first though since that's where my more serious raid team is, then leveling and alliance alt to do raids-with-friends as moonkin.

I pretty much have.. every class at 100, lol. Usually heal for raiding, DPS for alts, don't like tanking.

Man, WoD was so hyped up and it's execution was so disappointing. (Am I a bitter Draenai fan to the end? Yes absolutely why do you ask.) It sucks, because I had a lot of fun in the very beginning-- for like the first three months I had a great guild and bunch of shit to do and we got our mains up to 100 in three or four days and then... that was it. Nothing much else to do.

And then the guild went to shit, and leveling anyone else up to 100 was a painus in the anus (though we did manage like, three other alts? Maybe?) so it sort of killed the fun. Also for a continent that didn't get flying for like, a year, it sure was built around the possibility of flying huh.

i'm honestly glad i didn't bother with WoD until the end. i got in, hit cap, ground out flying, managed to gear up fairly well in tanaan, and it was fun. but i would have hated being around pre flying with those shitty ass starter raids and no content for like a year.

I'm gonna be honest, by the time they rolled out the flying acheive I was so 100% done with WoD that I uh. Never bothered to earn it. Just looking at my full bags and massive list of quests that needed to be finished + the rep grind made me want to cry.

Give us back the moneysink for flying pls.

I played from about a year or so before BC up to WotLK. I refuse to go back. For many reasons. I just refuse. I do have a remaining fondness for the entirely shitty lore of Warcraft though.

Also time for my obligatory warning of the fact that I will personally go to Seattle myself and beat you if you go back to it, Morven. I will. I will get there. AND YOU WILL PAY.

I'm downloading the free starter version rn because I've been wanting to get back into it for over 3 months, and once I've wanted a thing for that long I indulge myself because it will bring a reprieve from misery x3
I played vanilla up to WoTLK, got a few weeks into that and then the people in charge of household subscriptions cancelled it and wouldn't let me keep playing.
Back then I was addicted, but functionally. Brought me happiness when everything else was shitty x.x
I was the wee babu in my mum's guild on Amun'Thul, and they used to power level me and give me awesome gear, with which I generally stood around being their cheerleader in raids until I actually got competent and they trusted me to actually play with them.
And now Legion is out, I just watched the opening cinematic, and claws are digging back into me and dragging me down and I am tempted to sell out and do $15 commissions to fund raise to get the base game + expansion

man i'm already kind of overwhelmed with the new stuff in legion, it doesn't help that i have a raid guild on horde i want to level and gear for and then a with-friends raid on a different server that i thought was just going to be casual fun but apparently also wants to start the week raids open and are being hardasses about people being ready to go. and i just don't think i'll have the time. and when i get overwhelmed like this my general urge is to just ghost on people and disappear to somewhere else to have fun, lol.

    Ugh that's the worst. :(

It's a lot more fun if you can slow down and actually take things at a pace, but I guess that's no good for some people. A friend of mine had their entire raiding/roleplay guild collapse when the guild leader tried that in what was supposed to be a casual raiding environment, and (lo and behold) all the raiders quit.
