my new car is a little old white toyota corolla. it's slightly fussy but very practical. i've named it greta.
dude just careened into the closed glass door of my store and then said what's up and gave me a peace sign when i looked up nice recovery there my guy
we even put a sign directly in front of that door to get people to quit doing that like the raptor decals people put on their windows to keep birds from flying into them
I'm convinced that the bts storyline universe is the same one the raven cycle is set in and i want very badly to see a crossover too bad there's like... no overlap between the fandoms
i made this little guy last night and then today i made more little mushrooms mushrooms on everything!
i'm so livid the psych guy i had been going to has never wanted to deal with or acknowledge my transness. i was seeing him primarily for anxiety and mood related stuff but i stopped going to him because i wasnt willing to have a major part of my identity erased and now it turns out the mood stabilizer he had me on is known to increase the bioavailability of estrogen and progesterone and can act as an antiandrogen. no wonder my t levels were so low >:[
it's really symptomatic of a larger problem in medicine where doctors refuse to do their research to treat trans patients effectively he always refused to even discuss trans issues because "i'm not a specialist" well dude you can't talk about a trans person's mental health without at least a passing familiarity with the subject so do your goddamn job
welp we're out of useful cutlery in the back room and i left my spork stash in my coat at home anyone who walks through the break room will just have to watch me trying to eat fettuccine with a plastic knife i guess
i made piiiiiieees filled with potatoes seasoned with rosemary and a mix of minced mushroom and veggie ground beef substitute they were tasty but a little dry, next round i'll find a way to add a bit more moisture still, i'm pretty happy with them!
yesterday's best customers: the very excited lady buying 34x40 in. watercolor paper so she can do a very large portrait of her pet sheep. they're rescues, and she spins and dyes their wool and uses it to make latch hook rug versions of her paintings, and everything about that is delightful to me. and the extremely elegant and polite goth with silver hair and they / them tattooed on their knuckles.
is attempting to make a spinning wheel based on diagrams and videos out of scraps i have laying around going to work? no clue but i'm gonna try it
so the constraint i'm putting on myself is that i'm not going to buy anything for this project. i have enough stuff in my apartment, and if there's anything i need i should be able to figure out how to make it. so far i've got: several wood circles, including 2 pretty substantial 4 inch plaques. i was able to use the dremel to put a groove in one of them without too much trouble, so far so good.
less good, the 10 inch wood plaques i was hoping to use to make the drive wheel are horribly warped, and i already committed to not buying anything so i'm going to have to get creative. i did find a box of old kitchen stuff that never got put away after the last move, and i have some thoughts about this pair of lids i found. i'll revisit them after they're less gross and see what can be done.
