    Yeah, so

Mods need to sleep and a number of them have full time jobs. You post late at night by your time. I'm on the east coast. Snippy posts like this aren't cute. After sleeping and getting to my actual job, I came here, looked at the queue, and approved three of four posts very quickly.

If a post does get held up past that, maybe, possibly, it's because you've thrown a curveball, like say, trying to post an actual irl fight to general chatter as something "funny". What am I supposed to do with that? Hell if I know! Remarkably, it's never come up before! You're not being persecuted or neglected. Complaining that mods aren't doing their volunteer, unpaid modding work fast enough, shockingly, is unlikely to get you results.

No, but you're the one who decided to post stuff of the sort one expects to find in diapers.

Let me walk you through this simply:

It is never okay to assert that some people deserve to be raped. Even if it's you. Posts like that hurt people.

The usual strategy is that if someone acts like that, you boot them out so they stop hurting other people, but we're trying to be extra friendly and accommodating and put in the hours of work it takes to sort through this stuff looking for the things that aren't abusive attacks on other people, whether personally and specifically or just general shotgun blasts aimed in approximately the direction you think there are some people who might deserve it.

When you get worked up, you post a ton of shit, and most of it is sorta bad. And that means it's a lot of work to sort through it. And it's hard work, and it's tiring work, and the completely volunteer people you are not paying or even thanking for their time put in a lot of work... But they don't necessarily do it right away, because they have other things they want to do, which aren't focused primarily on being hammered with ten different forms of the same angry bullshit all at once.

If you want posts to go through faster, here's a couple of key things you could do that would make this happen:
    1. Calm. The. Fuck. Down. When you post when you're really angry, your posts are much more likely to be awful and unpleasant to read, which means people will be a lot more likely to look at them and say "no, I'm too tired to deal with this right now".
    2. Calm. The. Fuck. Down. When you post a ton of things, it's not just that the individual posts are more stressful to deal with; it's that there's a huge number of them, so it's frustrating and feels pointless sorting through them trying to find things we can make progress on. Sometimes we'll try to make sure we get a couple of them processed, but when there's a lot of them, it's hard to review each of them carefully enough, so that is a further deterrent to actually doing them.
    3. Calm. The. Fuck. Down. Stop claiming people deserve to be raped. Stop making all these angry sweeping claims, accusing everyone of being horrible, and insisting that everyone thinks you deserve every bad thing that's ever happened to you.
You're on post mod because you have no capacity for self-control. You cannot self-moderate. You can't post reasonable things that don't include things you've been told repeatedly are never going to be okay. You can't slow down. You get angry and you just spam the world with hatred and fury, and it's not helping. If you weren't doing that, you wouldn't be on post mod in the first place.

i respect you as human. i know that you are going to enjoy making me squirm as much as possible and i respect and accept you for that. i don’t give you submission because i don’t see evidence that that transaction will benefit me.

none of us are here to make you squirm. we want to help, and are trying to help. theres only so much any of us can do between jobs, and home life, and various internet occurances, let alone any other things that we may be dealing with currently.

i'm sorry you feel silenced and ignored, but none of us are 100% always free and available to pick through the dozens of posts you make within the span of an hour or two, especially if all of these posts come from a place of upset, self harm, or advocate for violence. sometimes we don't have the time, or energy, or even the means to research into the things you say. and even especially so if the posts you make are very late at night.

things are like this to minimize harm to the forum at large, and to give you a chance to calm down and really think about what you want to post. sure, it inconveniences you and makes communication harder, but its preferable to 30 spiralling, rapid-fire public posts about how much you hate trans women, in a completely unrelated thread. does it suck? hell yeah. but it gives you a chance to pause and reel it back.

no one here is asking for submission or even implying the things youre getting from them. please can you try to at least engage with their words at face value? communication on a text based platform relies on this. there is no other way to communicate beyond literally saying what you mean.

my fave is when there's weird kinky sexual bullshit about modding that we a) did not consent to and b) need to discuss whether it's going to harm people by being in public

oh wait no I meant 'users on post mod sexually harassing the mods is starting to become a really shitty problem that post mod sadly does not protect the targets from'

anyway that's it for me replying here. find better ways to get attention.

when people start ramping up lies against me like that i hate trans women or that i want something sexual with the
mods... that’s violence. you know this lying puts me in danger and you show no signs
of becoming rational or stopping. there’s literally no way for me to respond other than fear and rage. just self-contain your sadistic violence.

  12. townghost

    townghost mystery crab

the way you people have treated me is honestly disgusting and abusive and shows no sign of slowing down, stopping, or reversing. i put myself in danger to be here and there’s zero self awareness of that fact. you all act absolutely disgusting towards me, lie and make sure i’m unsafe. there’s not even a baby step towards treating me
    like a human.

  13. townghost

i am trying to recover and become a better person but this situation is nothing more than a bunch of sadistic abusers. it’s not the community for me. i also want to point out that by me hating rapists and you taking that to mean that i hate trans women says more about your hatred of trans women than me. goodbye

If you feel unsafe here then it might be better to leave? No one is making you stay and it doesn't make any sense to repeatedly subject yourself to a triggering environment if you aren't required to.

Though given your particular history and metal state I do agree that the mods using hyperbole (which is what they're doing) to make their points is probably not the best approach as it's more likely to be inflammatory than enlightening.

saying “here’s stuff you did, here’s what it means” to a person who is unable to understand or comprehend what you’re talking about is always and will always be a malicious lie and a trap designed to take away my agency. dude

you take away my grip on reality and force me around based on what you dictate it is. you got me, you have power. doesn’t mean i’m gonna be sweet and take it laying down! i hate you. i’m not a terf or transphobe or violent or what the fuck ever. have a nice life

how can i apologize for everything i know is wrong when you won’t even listen to someone else pointing out YOU doing something that’s wrong. you won’t listen. just like everyone else

Agree. Though, that said, I don't think the mods are particularly lying like you (townghost/lukas/not sure what you prefer to go by, sorry!) seem to be asserting. It's been well documented that what you say and what you think you say are often completely disconnected, so I'm willing to bet this is just another example of that. You think you're saying one thing, but the actual words you type and then post say the complete opposite or something completely different, and since this is a purely text-based form of communication, we can only take the literal meaning of the words you type at face value.

that strikes me as a pretty odd assumption? you... don't know if he's being made to stay. he's in the process of accusing someone/multiple people of abuse, and that's a sign that he might, actually, not know how to safely leave.

so, like, townghost? if you are being made to stay on kintsugi? I'll do what I can to help you get out. freedom of association is important.

okay serious question where do you think the mods used hyperbole? I'm pretty sure Chiomi's accusation of sexual harassment was unironic and I'm not seeing anything else here that looks plausibly hyperbolic

TheSeer 37 Bright Visionary Crushes The Doubtful

There seems to be some backstory here I don't know, but OP's repeated accusations of sadism and the metaphors that all seem to involve words like "submission" and "diapers" do have a kink vibe. I realize that was all figurative language, and it's not sexual in the sense of anyone literally desiring sex with anyone. But it is bringing a sexual undertone into an argument to make people feel bad, which isn't cool, and it's not hyperbole to call that out.
