Seems like there's fairly a lot of us here, mostly fibercrafts (I see you, knitters). So consider this The Place to yell about your craft, whatever the heck it is, and share Stuff.

As for me, I dabble in a shitload of stuff, including paper flowers, nail polish flowers, BEADING, stamp carving... That's most of what I have with me, but if you can name I've probably either dabbled in it or gone "I wish I could, but money :[." I have a storenvy that I need to shove stuff onto, but that requires spoons.

I tried crocheting, and should probably try it again. I used to used that embroidery floss stuff to make friendship bracelets, cause that was a big craze in my town for a while, same with making earings and stuff like that.
The stuff I'm actually good at is sewing. Not very good, but I can make skirts and dresses, and little stuffed owls, and I once made a stuffed A for an English class, because I had a bunch of red felt and it was extra credit. That was an interesting class.

I need to figure out storenvy or something, I've got a bunch of necklaces piling up that I should probably see about trying to sell.

They used to work through paypal and it was easy, but then they added this new payment system and now it's. not. and I can't link it to my bank account right now b/c my bank is in another state.

I crochet and cross-stitch mostly. I used to know how to knit, so theoretically I could pick it up again. I used to make those little animals out of pony beads (lizards especially). I can do a mean paint-by-number. I've tried a lot of stuff tho, and am basically not allowed in craft stores because I want ALL THE THINGS even if I don't know how to do them. I do tend to drop stuff I'm not immediately good at though. xP

Like, my grandmother recently took my mom, brother and I to a little workshop thing where we made these little wire trees. My brother was instantly good at it (he makes pretty great wire jewelry too!), I was eh. I might be good at it if I give it a chance, but why do that where there are other things I'm good at? :P

My current project is this crocheted shrug that my one grandmother saw me making my other grandmother so now I have to do it again but in a different color. :P I haven't really started yet because I need to chain like 80 for the first row and BLUH.

I used to have a kit for making these cute little wire dolls. I'm not sure if I still have it or them though.

YUP! It was mostly a pain because I was confused and also OH GOD THE CHAINING. The second time around shouldn't be too bad, but then see the chaining.

#is nail acrylic baking safe #because if it is #I think I could do some cool things with wings and frills #this calls for late night experiments maybe

After some research I have determined that my acrylic PROBABLY won't melt off in the oven if I bake it with the clay. Probably.

I do jewelry making. Everything from macrame necklaces and belts to silver rings and chains. I actually JUST found a jewelry making studio with a really good workshop I can rent for cheap by the hour.

    Pictures!

Here is a necklace I made, sterling silver wire, epoxy, and craft beads.

Hmm, seems as though pictures of the kanzashi flowers I made as bride's maids gifts are too large for the server... I'll have to figure out how to make them smaller.

So I posted this collage thing I did a while ago in the Harry Potter RP thread, and I figured I might as well toss it over here, too.

(the main picture's mine, too, although all the other shit I just grabbed off google images)

I'll get some pictures of some necklaces and beads I've made up here eventually too probably.

Also, are we gonna wanna put sketches and whatnot here, or make a different thread for that?

    That's cool as heck.

Art for me is distinctive from crafts, in that artists often don't consider themselves crafters and there's a somewhat different culture between the two. I'll leave it open for the rest though.
