I've been hammering tables and shouting "FAIRY-TYPE CORGI" since X/Y, but this is also acceptable.

Apparently it has a new ability called "Ball Fetch," which picks up the Pokeball from the first failed throw of the battle if it isn't holding another item. Which, I think we can all agree, is great.

I actually really like impidimp. It really caters to my feeling of having an impmon type monster I can pet and feed cupcakes.

a lot of people are highly upset with the natdex thing but i will be excited if this means that "Catching them all" will be a feasible thing again, I never really got invested in doing that since I started with FR/LG and Diamond & Pearl so the National Dex was always way too big for me to ever even consider being able to fill it up as a kid.

  8. I just wish we had some idea on the scope of the Galar regional dex. There’s over 800 Pokémon total- does the Galar region have 400? More? Less? Who knows. And of course some people will be sad their favorites won’t be in the game, even if it has like 75% of all Pokémon that leaves a lot of them out.

Presumably this will be how things are going to operate going forward? I vaguely recall hearing something about that, so it's not like your favorite Pokemon just got snapped, they'll just exist in a later game most likely.

goldenflowertea this universe SUCKS but it is full of FRIENDS

    What's this about the Natdex?

  11. Not a lot of info is currently available.

    https://serebii.net/swordshield/

Basically, at E3 it was announced that the new Pokémon Home can be used to transfer Pokémon into sword and shield, but only if they’re included in the Galar regional Pokédex. That’s all we know.

Masuda has been doing a bunch of interviews and giving out info that's probably not on serebii

rattata is hardly ever in base games, and i've always taken one to the finals with me every game so i'll be sad if there is none but also expect it

Aren't most pal parks and stuff not available until you've done the E4 anyways :?

IIRC D&P and G&S didn't let you transfer Pokemon until well after you were done with the game, idk for sure though bc my Pokemon games disappear into the aether for some reason before I get to transfer them to the next game :(

B&W certainly didn’t, not initially. I remember this because my tactic from Crystal onwards was to take my level 100 pokemon and trading them to the new game to cheese my way through shit. I assume that was specifically why transferring got stopped like that, because lord knows that kind of cheesing was ruining half the pacing of the games.

I understand, intellectually, why people are upset, but since I had to let that strat go a while ago I... haven’t ever really bothered with transferring pokes. It’s just a thing.

I am a little miffed that I can't transfer up my event pokemon if they aren't on the dex.... like I got a legal mew that I snagged in leaf green that I have been transferring up. I never use it, it's just there for to point at and go, "look at this son of a bitch. This was from when getting event pokemon was still hard! You kids these days just walk into any ol' Game Stop and download them!"

I mostly transfer pokemon so i can pet them because that's the best feature ever

    @Knives
I've usually been able to trade to get a rattata with players who are done? I train a new rattata each game so the issue is more availability of the species at all (when I can, I'm sure there've been times when I couldn't). But honestly, I can't remember my consistent history with the games because a lot of features end up blending into one when I try to remember the details

  18. I’m gonna be That Person and ask, do you have any links to this interview info? I wasn’t aware that more interviews were already happening.

I lost a lot of my dudes when my White 2 cart went missing but the pokes I held on to were my babies and I raised them from eggs and cuddled them and fed them cupcakes and beans and they won ribbons and they were all champions. So on one hand I understand why they can't just program 800 3D models on a whim, on the other hand my dear sweet Booskaboo (Empoleon) is literally old enough to start his own pokemon journey. I can't leave him to languish in the Pokebank!
