Does anyone have advice on super durable over-ear headphones? My most recent ones just up and died on me, and I don't like the waste of throwing out a whole set of headphones every year or so when the cord gets an irreparable short. I hear there are wireless ones now, but no idea how well they work. :\
It's usually a thing at the extreme high end of audio; the DJ Style headphones are the cheapest ones I've seen with that feature.
That makes sense; I've never been in the market for the super fancy kind of headphones. I usually buy fifteen dollar ones, because I'm constantly breaking them. =_=
I've had some pretty cheap headphones have a replaceable cord, but it's sort of random and unpredictable, and often they have a recessed connector so most cords won't work anyway.
Yeah, I had a different one of those replaceable-cord ones for a while, but the cords for it were relatively pricey and I was breaking them often enough that I got a pair of bluetooth ones (dunno the exact kind off the top of my head, I'd have to look it up). I've just had them for a few months, so I can't say anything to their long-term durability, but I like them pretty well. Also, you can walk around doing chores with them on, which is nice. n.b. I am the bane of all cords. You may not bust cords often enough for this to be as much of a problem for you.
Awesome. Thanks, guys. I'm pretty clueless about this stuff, but the waste bugs me when I just buy cheap and throw things out. I am also the bane of all cords, sadly. :P It's gotten better now that I've got a more organized space; I used to trip on them constantly. But... still.
