This is better than the show I'm watching - a memorable advertising thread

As the title says, sometimes the adverts are actually better than the programming - or at the very least, more memorable. Share weird, obnoxious, catchy, frightening, viral and banned adverts here.

This was one of my favourite ads which was actually banned for traumatizing the kiddies, back in the day.

because of the association with Greenpeace, i think.
(note: not commenting on the rights and wrongs of it, haven't even actually watched the ad, don't want to be guilt-tripped any more than necessary by tv this xmas. just read an article and vaguely remember Greenpeace doing some weird shit occasionally)

I'm not going to post a link (afaik you can't anyways) but this advert has been going around YouTube for the second Lego movie. It starts with Chris Pratt telling the audience to wait till the end of the trailer for a surprise.

The surprise is the entirety of the first Lego movie. Yes, really. It's fucking buck wild to me

My family was in the car listening to Pink Floyd’s “Echoes” on vacation once. My sister had expressed a firm wish not to be disturbed while appreciating the song. It got to the “a million bright ambassadors of morning” and I leaned over an whispered “ha-cha-cha-cha!” She rounded on me furiously and then burst out laughing.

If you've ever seen the Lily's garden ads you know they're kinda weird and have zero to do with the app. What you may not know is that it has a fully fleshed out story, and it's even NSFW in some places. Someone decided to collect them all and put them in chronological order and it's wild af:
