Fucking incredible. So I've been looking forward to getting home from school, so that I can make replies on laptop instead of phone. I turn on laptop, try to open Chrome, and get this: "The application has failed to start because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. Please see the application event log or use the command-line sxstrace.exe tool for more detail." Sooo now Chrome won't open at all, gives that error every time. Last night it was perfectly fine. Aaand I've had to restart this post several times because the Chrome on my phone keeps crashing while I type. If any of y'all know a solution to this error, I'd love to know. Otherwise, I'm switching to Firefox. edit; Now using Firefox.
Apparently it's something to do with having conflicting versions of some system libraries installed, and was likely caused by SOMETHING that got installed since last time you ran Chrome. There are complex instructions for how to fix it out there, but I don't see any simple things. They tend to involve trying to reinstall system libraries one at a time until you find the right one, or messing in the registry.
