I've washed my hair in both the bathroom and kitchen sinks before and I have fairly long hair so the laundry sink isn't that much of a stretch ime

I don't think washing hair in the sink is too bad a thing, Full Showers aren't always feasible.

I would really like to know what a laundry sink is though

It's the sink in a big laundry room that's (ime) mostly used for pretreating stained clothes

idk about normal but it seems sensible. I use the detachable showerhead in my bathroom for washing my hair when it gets Ew and no spoons (and for rinsing off hair post-shaving the undercut, bc there's nothing worse than the feeling of the hair you just shaved off sticking to your neck)

the 3 places ive lived have had variations on The Big Plastic Boy but you can probably get nicer ones

Or this guy i guess would look nicer

The takeaway is its big enough u can shove your whole head under the tap and not get water on the floor but it probably will hurt your back after a while

I often wet my hair in the sink when I style it in the mornings bc I tend to bathe in the evening, so that doesn’t strike me as weird!

  7. It's perfectly acceptable, don't worry about it :^)

I am amazed at hair that can be wetted and not remain wet the entire day after.

I had this same problem before my mom bought one of these suckers. Its a hairdryer, only the part the hot air comes out of is a hairbrush top:

Nope. My hair emphatically does not like either blowdrying or getting brushed while wet. Both result in the worlds worst tangles.

Oh my god I need one. Any idea what they’re called or where I might find one?

Oh! I forgot to warn, pretty much the only downside is the noise. Its just as loud as a regular hairdryer.

Fake edit: ours is a revlon, you can find it on amazon. Im sure theres off brand versions too that can do the same job

Ahh laundry sinks. very excellent. Do most of them have a pump that puts the water from the washer into that sink when it's draining as a weird middling step to getting that paticular water out of the house or was that just my childhood home's weird thing?

Also a v nostalgic sink for me because laundry sink at my arts high school dorm is where i got my hair cut short by some friends because i was Queer and Done With Long Hair. Rebellion!

The one at my parents house had a tube runing from the washer that would drain the water into the sink, havent seen that at my current place
