It is now JUNE and I am going to make an EFFORT to do something PRODUCTIVE CREATIVE WAYS every DAY.

I have a jewelry project that I am going to continue to work on (after I take care of The Kittens)

 

worked for two hours off and on on anklet, calling that good

500+ words of a thing for Kindle Porn

 

got about another 450 words... which were promptly lost to computer crash

I am taking that as a sign that I should not be trying to write this tonight, or in the third person

 

Found my toilet seat lid, currently attacking scrap clothes for lacemaking pillow.

 

Got pillow most of the way done. It is thick and dense and not QUITE deep enough but good enough to start on.

 

Did the lacemaking thing. Stitch sampler is basic but hey it's a start, right.

 

Ooh, you do needlework? what type, do you have any examples? o3o

 

No, I do bobbin work.

(okay that's a lie I also do cross stitch. But not often these days.)

 

aah I see! My mom does whitework design that's sorta an alternative to lacework using needlework, and i'm always up to spread her site to more people who are interested in needlework

Yeah, needlework isn't nearly so much my thing but I've always been enamored as hell of bobbin lace, so.

 

About a third done with my first actual project (instead of a sampler/experiment). Letting some of the tension do its thing before I start pulling pins b/c I... am out of pins.

But thing: was definitely done today. Started to kind of hit the "I don't wannaaaaaaa" wall and had to force myself, but I did it.

After the tenth I think I'm going to try doing a craft thing AND a writing thing each day.

 

fell asleep before I was quite able to finish it but did the last... four rows? As soon as I got up so that all counts for yesterday

 

And now for something completely different.

 

And did more lace today; made an actual bracelet anklet with beads and stuff.

 

I am giving myself the day off because even if I'm trying to avoid too much stuff about the shooting it is still Everywhere, being Depressing.

 

Sure did spend an hour planning and winding bobbins. Good enough, man, good enough.
