Relevant to all English-resident or English NHS registered Kinsugijin:

The UK government has quietly implemented a scheme to sell off your personal data if you are registered with an English GP, unless you specifically opt out by 23 June.

You will not be able to opt out after this date or have your data removed from the central database.

The data may be anonymized (except when it's not; they conveniently left an out in the terms for exactly that scenario) but could still be traced back to your identity by cross referencing existing databases.

This data is likely to be sold on to private companies.

    LINK TO OPT OUT.

The UK gov't tried to do this in 2014 but it was leaked and the outcry was so huge that they shelved plans. Not they're sneaking it back in, using the general state of fucking everything + pandemic as cover.
