what's been stuck in your head for the last [way too long]
I'm hoping this thread will help exorcise them. or maybe you want to celebrate them because it's a fun one.

I'll start, I've had one line of the chorus of No Roots stuck in my head for four days now
it gets autocorrected in my brain to "I've got no roof on my home"

edit. 2x I despise this song lmao

started as just the lines "So whisper in my ear/And tell me not to fear" over and over and I had to go track the song down to figure out why the hell I was associating two lines from a song I barely remembered with Fen from Steamworld, luckily I recognized it as "probably a soundoftheaviators song"

turns out it's because it's a very Fen song. it is still stuck in my head. it still usually does its random intrusions into my thoughts from the same two lines it just continues now because i actually remember lines other than those two.

why the hell did i remember those two lines perfectly, down to remembering them in the right voice, and absolutely none of the rest??? brain, what the hell

    Saro Where is wizard hut

That chorus is a permanent resident in my head now
  8. Emma

    Emma Your resident resident

This is stuck in my head for some reason. (Only the part about how Tokyo is boring)

  9. KingStarscream

    KingStarscream watch_dogs walking advertisement

The chorus has been trapped in my head for like four days now and I had a hell of a time finding this because it was transposing lyrics from Hotline Bling over the actual song. Hell. Hell song.
  10. vuatson

    vuatson [delurks]

These three things keep merging into one in my head
  11. Verily

    Verily a very ineffective hitman

I was telling a friend the other day about how when I'm reading something especially epic and need mood music, I call to mind various parts of Cascade because I remember them really clearly and they give me strong emotions. She seemed really surprised about the idea that having music playing in your head could be a pleasant experience that you might want to invoke on purpose. I was surprised that she was surprised.

Sometimes it really annoys me, but I also kinda enjoy being able to play songs I like in my head.

Anyone else have positive earworms, or is it mostly bad?

I get positive ones sometimes! mostly annoying but definitely good ones sometimes that make me want to listen to the full thing. I think I'll change the op because it's setting a bummer mood

rn it's just "Havana nanana" over and over

sometimes I get the siren library theme from dark souls in my head and that's genuinely great

    Exohedron Doesn't like words

Currently: (Luiz Fonz and Daddy Yankee's Despacito sung to the tune of The Eagle's Desperado) mashed up with Darren Styles' You're My Angel.
During college there was a fun week of Carl Orff's O Fortuna mashed with the theme from Pacman, and by "fun" I mean that the two tracks aren't in the same key or time signature but apparently my brain doesn't care.

[EDIT] I know that you guys are witnessing this post out of sympathy, but don't feel obliged to spend your sorrow on me; I actually don't particularly mind the noise.

sounds like when my brain mashed up the dino run theme with 'let the bodies hit the floor' and then mashed that up with a book title

the result was Cursed and wouldn't leave
