Just a rant. I recently got a letter from DES about foodstamps. The letter about foodstamps was that I might lose them since I qualified as able bodied, without dependents. Problem! I am actually seriously mentally ill (I'm supposed to have Bipolar Disorder but I don't seem to have the extreme moodswings? Just continuous low level depression and spikes of anxiety and complete inability to Deal With Shit) and I don't have a job. (Though I'm currently looking.) The benefits specialist at my clinic said she would fax them my SMI determination letter and see if this would qualify me for one of the exemptions, because I don't qualify for the work requirements due to the entire "don't have a job" thing. (And if they do accept the exemption which is "too mentally ill to keep or hold a job" how is this going to effect my job hunt?? Should I try to go back to being "self employed"? except I was more self underemployed because online writing/affiliate marketing is damn near impossible to earn money for when you get paid by the click and you aren't getting traffic.) The housing situation: My housing specialist cannot get a hold of my landlord. This means I don't know whether the rent has gone up and if I'll have to move/look for a new apartment. My housing specialist in her infinite wisdom also decided that could start paying 50 dollars a month toward my rent. (Which I don't think I'll actually be able to do since I don't really get that much via donations except very very rarely.) The temp agency: I have been accepted by a temp agency. The temp agency however was not impressed by my lack of experience and my data entry skills (I do not test well ever) so I don't know if they'll have any assignments for me, though I intend to call in at least once a week until they give me an assignment. I have been having a lot of anxiety and insomnia over this situation, and so far not a lot is helping. So this is mostly just a rant.
