Open to suggestions for questions (and possibly answers) for the FAQ.
Whats the most efficient way to take over the world?
Uh . . .
How are mods chosen?
What do I do if I'm worried someone might commit suicide?
How do I set up a sub-account?
Can people tell that a particular sub is mine?
How do I make suggestions/give feedback on the forum?
Do I have to be mentally ill to be here?
And, not a FAQ but relevant: am I adding everything to the doc for ease of workshopping, editing, and organizing as a group?
What is a status/what are profile posts and how do they work.
I want to RP, how do I do that? (A kintsugi RP FAQ and Directory might not be a bad idea for a different thread which is not seebeses problem. Finish stuff could be linked in main FAQ)
What are threads labeled "vent"?
What do I do if another user and I get into a heated argument?
How can I warn for triggers?
What can I do to block content that triggers me?
Do I have to tell people about my abuse/health/experience history?
Is this forum anti-anti central/Does this forum support pedophiles/other anti-related questions. I put this here because while I don't think it's likely a hard core, current anti will come here, given this forum's audience hails from tumblr, it may be worth stating that as a whole the forum is not necessarily anti-anti, not necessarily a "pedophile support forum", etc. etc.
Related to the above, what are some widespread opinions on the forum? This may be particularly useful for curious babies like myself who honestly want to know what are some opinions a vast majority of the forums users hold.
edit: also offering to help draft up answers for some of these/what's been posted!
What can I post in what subforum?
Are there any forum etiquette rules I should know about? (such as spoilering things, etc. Probably better as a link to a thread explaining that.)
What do I do if I want to leave an argument/What do I do if someone starts to argue with me about something I can´t/don´t want to discuss?
I am indeed doing the thing. Everyone back aboard https://docs.google.com/document/d/1sdNxr-U4mzvDiACKqF66mQkQL7MEljUEidTEBiSdE5w/edit#
pls for the love of god make a separate thing and send me a link
Comments and direct editing of the doc both work.
Thing has already been made. Link!
I feel like spoilers might be better off as their own question -- some people might know to look for spoiler guidelines, but might not think to look for it under a question about etiquette. or that may just be me, idk.
i volunteer for helping anti-proof the answers
Maybe some of the questions from the newbie thread would be good?
Q: glub? y/n
you know i think i may actually put the glub thing in the FAQ just because it's useful metadata: "this forum is not super serious about things mostly"
@Chiomi I added these to the doc as well, but I figured I should put 'em in here for others to see
How Do I ignore a forum?
How do I ignore a thread?
How do I ignore a user?
What does ignoring do?
Also: I know the FAQ will be re-organized to put important stuff first, but I think it should also be "categorized", not really with headers, but just all things in a similar vein grouped together. Such as forum tools (so ignoring, creating subs, etc), user relations (what do I do about arguments, suicide threats, etc.) and meta (how are mods chosen, how do I make suggestions), and so on and so forth! :-)
