Hello I am Ivy and I stream on Thursday evenings european time! Channel is linked in my signature, it has a plugin if you scroll down a bit that should tell you the time to the next stream in your local timezone.
Currently we're working our way through the mass effect trilogy in small bits and pieces, but I'm also looking to maybe add a couple other days to my streaming schedule so I can add other games, maybe even a variety of other stuff.
Possible contenders for the variety pot: Darkest Dungeon, Oxygen not Included, Maybe Destiny 2 unless that nukes my bandwidth from orbit (tho i'd need to ask my fireteam(s) if they'd be alright maybe being on stream in VC or if I should stick to solo content), when/if i get them Rimworld and Kenshi and maybe a designated Anthem-Still-Exists-Please-Stop-Doubting-Bioware stream day

    Good morning folks!

Crossing my fingers that my purple heart works over here, but hi! I'm 3tansel, and I'm a retro variety streamer currently playing Harvest Moon: BTN! But really, anything earlier than GC era is fair game!

I'm a Twitch Affiliate that's doing a bit of a massive update on my scenes in SLOBS, and planning a dedicated streaming room in my new house. New updates will be a second cam for doing trad art and tarot spreads, customized alerts, and more!

I typically stream at noon EST on Sundays, but the best way to stay up to date with my schedule is to follow me on Twitter!

Hope to see y'all next stream.

My streaming schedule is still very erratic because I’ve been doing this for what, two weeks? So far I’ve streamed Microsoft Mahjong (it had humor value), Elder Scrolls: Arena, and The Witness (my favorite thing to stream so far).

Future plans, besides more Arena and lots more Witness:
    • Gone Home
    • Skyrim
    • The Sims 3 and/or 4
    • Other Elder Scrolls since I have all of them
    Tentatively considering:
    • Her Story
    • The Path

I have a weekly schedule now! Progress!

Saturday is my day off. On Sun-Fri:
    • The Witness: 8pm/20:00 GMT, 3pm EST. Stream lasts 2 hours
    • Elder Scrolls Arena: 3am GMT, 10pm EST. Informal and silly, aiming for 2 hours but I will stop sooner if I get too exhausted

Welp, I just got my first two copyright claim mutings. Neither one of them is legit. It's groups who performed the same piece of classical music falsely claiming that the one in the video is their performance. It isn't.

There are an increasing number of apparently random people liking and retweeting my stream tweets. It's not that I don't appreciate it, but why? They could be viewers, but afaik they're not. Are they hoping that I'll retweet their stuff if they retweet mine? Because that sounds like net detriment to all of us if we don't know each other and we're also not familiar with each other's work enough to be able to recommend it. I would personally ignore an account that retweeted tons of other streamers apparently at random. What gives?

i have no idea. I've seen a couple random people pop up in my statistics as 'top referrers' too who i have as far as I can tell never interacted with and who have no content overlap with me so like idek

Anyhow current schedule is still Mass Effect on thursdays, 8pm Central European Time, Saturdays 8pm are the Mix Of Everything day! tho i'm rly into Thea: The Awakening, a really neat 4X strategy game mixed with rpg and cardgame mechanics, right now so might just continue that until I get a party kill and *then* switch to frostpunk and/or darkest dungeon again today.

Hey folks! Normally I don't promo myself this hardcore but:

We are on day 2/3 in a row of me doing a OoT Rando stream to get myself some funds to have a habitable home in five weeks. So it would mean the world to me if y'all could swing on by or promote my tweets about it.

Bonus: We're doing a little thing called Crowd Control. You get 50 free coins to help or hinder my progress every time you tune in. Additional coins can be purchased with bits. So it's fun for everyone!

So it turns out being an affiliate is somehow much more work. Maybe it's like getting a new job. I've been having a fairly good time of it. The one thing is my microphone, which has never been especially reliable on stream for some reason. It's perfectly fine in both discord and Skype, but I have never ever been able to completely get it to stop making occasional popping noises with twitch. It's old enough that I'm finding it literally impossible to update the driver, which wouldn't be much of an upgrade anyway because it hasn't been supported for years.

Does anyone have recommendations for microphones that are reasonable for a small streamer? It's a little difficult asking in general streaming places because frankly many of those people do not know what it's like to be a disabled person with no income to speak of, who could only afford the "good" options by sacrificing a significant amount of their life savings. I'm looking at things definitely under 100, preferably less. It doesn't actually need to be fabulous quality. It's not like I'm recording a studio album. I would honestly be surprised if there were any difference between mp3 quality and CD quality in the actual stream that reaches the viewer.

I've gotten a couple very promising looking recommendations, but it really seemed worth asking here. Everyone here whose streams I've been lucky enough to catch had very nice audio quality.

I use a Blue Snowball, which was like $50 a couple years ago when I got it. A cursory Amazon search looks like it isn't super available and like twice that when it is - I've heard the plague caused a run on webcams, I'm guessing same here.

A work colleague has a cheaper rec (20 ish range iirc) which I can't remember offhand, but I will find out.

@Astrodynamicist Thank you so much! I really appreciated the information. You’re right about both the current price and also the run on webcams.

(I was so fortunate that a very cool and selfless streamer liked my style and asked why I’d not been using my webcam way back near the beginning of the pandemic. When I explained how old it was, he offered to gift me the same model he was using. Turns out it’s one of the coveted models that’s currently totally unavailable.)

I did end up picking one! I went with a 45 buck Fifine! It arrived a day early, on a weekend no less, and I love it so much! (Also possible thanks to the incredible generosity of an awesome, supportive friend, but I’m unsure if they are comfortable being named.)
