For those movies, cartoons, comics and videogames etc. that are obscure as shit and nobody but you seem to remember. Rant about your favorites, ramble about things you ALMOST remember but can't locate in the hopes someone else will know what you're talking about so the mystery can be solved, find new obscure things you've never heard of yourself in the process. Fun times all around!

    For me...

Pinnochio and the Emperor of the Night fucked me up as a child and it remains one of my favorite things, but NOBODY HAS EVER FUCKING HEARD OF THIS THING. (it's on youtube and some other places for free I believe.)

Also, that Snow White movie, Happily Ever After. Also known as "Snow White and rule 63 dwarves punch a wizard in the dick: the movie", and is also on youtube in its entirety. I actually have this one on DVD! The other movie was on VHS and I've never found another copy since I was a wee smeet.

    Great vocal casts. :D

Eta: I add these also because for ages till I found them again, I literally thought they were a fever dream and in some cases they were even better than one once re-located.

When I was a small child, my mom had a huge collection of Wee Sing tapes. Trying to explain to someone as an adult about the clearly drag-queen based starfish puppet that sung about how pretty it was was a bizarre experience, and until I did some hardcore googling of some of the original songs, I thought I'd made it up.

There's also a TV show or possibly a straight to video series, idk, I like to describe as "educational television Candle Cove" because of the number of people who were kids when I was who can remember it that have parents that have no clue what they're talking about. It involved a baby star flying around in a spaceship, I think with one or two friends? I can super clearly picture the pilot area of the ship, blinky lights and all.

There was this one Undertale fanfic, a really good one, which had an old war veteran OC that Frisk met because they broke his window. He basically became Frisk's adopted grandfather. Also he had some chemistry stuff in his garage and used it to teach Frisk some chemistry stuff (like 'magnesium can burn'.

    He also had a cockatiel.

I can't find the fic on AO3 though, trying to find it just brings up Bitties for some reason. Why do people even like that AU? It's like if in the Homestuck fandom, suddenly 50% of fics were Petstuck where there's only 2 canon characters and they're both cherubs or something. (Although in this case it's skeletons.)

For me it was the Mighty Ducks cartoon. Which I'm not sure is even that obscure! But for the longest time I just had vague childhood memories of some cartoon about anthropomorphic alien ducks playing hockey, and that seemed so ridiculous I assumed it wasn't a real thing. :D (And I've just learned from Wiki that Jennifer Hale was one of the voice actors and suddenly everything makes sense.)

Also, this may not exactly count, but I have this book called Where The Girls Are that if I did not still own I would be 100% convinced was not real. It's a German (I think) alphabet picture book that I can only describe as "surrealist". The cover illustration, por ejemplo, is a girl lying in bed being kissed by a giant floating fish, and it does not get less weird from there. It's the best book.

Another series that I remember: Eureka's Castle. And "Ghost Writer". AND FOR AGES "PETE AND PETE" AND "ARE YOU AFRAID OF THE DARK" WERE ON THERE TOO, AUGH. the first two were worse, nobody knew about them, even Nate. specific episode of afraid of the dark though: one about a deaf girl and a human zoo.

Oh my god thank you, for years I assumed I'd just made that up upon hearing the name of the live action movie. I grew up in the south so I didn't know why I'd imagine a hockey show, but all is explained now.

I FOUND THE THING. It's so obscure there's not even a Wikipedia article on it, but I remembered the network it aired on and found it listed in the programming block.

This website is relevant to the thread, I believe, especially the "Traumafessions" and "Name That Trauma" tags. :D
