one time my dad got a tiny bit drunk by accident (not SUPER drunk, maybe a step or two above tipsy) and we were watching snl and i was like "god tina fey is so hot"

and my dad was like "yeah, she's like...nerd hot. you know who else is nerd hot? your mom"

and he proceeded to ramble about how much he loves my mom and it was so cute tbh

 

there are precisely two tmbg songs i always skip and those are you'll miss me and mccafferty's bib

idk they just don't appeal to me somehow, no shade towards people who love 'em

(i do love the demo version of you'll miss me but it's extremely different from the album version and i kinda wish the album version had been a bit more like the demo version in terms of vocals?)

i sometimes skip o, do not forsake me when i'm listening to john henry on shuffle but not always, and when i'm listening to it in order i don't skip it, so...

 

fun fact: my mom's favorite tmbg album is glean. her favorite songs on it are erase and hate the villanelle, but she can never remember the title of the latter and she always just calls it "the villanelle song."

she also loves john henry a lot and interestingly, o, do not forsake me is one of her favorite tracks on the album (although her absolute favorite is the end of the tour, which is also my absolute favorite on that album)

i don't think my dad has a fave tmbg album or song but he likes them too

 

Erase is good, makes a good song for The Scratch from Homestuck.

 

I always associated it with RetJohn, myself!

 

I alsp like glean so far but i got distracted before i finished listening to the whole album

 

it's a really good album!! (i hope you can listen to the full thing someday, the penultimate song is a favorite of mine :3)
