Let's tell a story (Forum game)

(One of) the most simple collaborative game(s) of all.

We collectively tell a story one word at a time. Each person says one new word and we see where it goes. Every few pages or so, if we like, we collate the story so far so it can all be read through at once.

(I'm wondering if, seeing as this would result in a lot of very short posts, maybe a sentence each would work better, but I want to try it with a word each first because I often find that makes it more chaotic and fun. We'll see if we get enough people to get anywhere).

You can post multiple times, but not in a row, and I'd say it makes sense that you should wait until two more people have posted before you post again with another word so that one or two people don't get a monopoly on the story direction.
