Take your vacation. That's exactly what was bogging me down, and I feel much better after taking a few days off.
Emotions ride over logic at times. What we would like to happen often doesn't because of this-- rather than asking them to not do the thing, the better thing is to tell them despite doing so, they will be met with understanding and kindness.
I try not to act too much on emotional outbursts because it usually doesn't lead to the best results later. But I'll make an extra attempt to keep this in mind when something like this happens
That is a two-way street and you are aware of so, Seebs. Not being sassy, but it goes for both the person who caused the wound and the person sustaining the wound. Many people did try to be patient with Alix, as others tried to tend to their wounds-- neither is wrong. Neither is right. Regardless, understanding and kindness.
It was @hellfirelover, and I have a specific request to pass on an apology and let people know, so, there you go. It wasn't Alix, it was a random third party who had experiences that happened to look a lot like "a bunch of people talking about how bad you are" and sorta freaked out about it. Leaving for now, may or may not try to come back and engage, since they've never had much luck with that. But now you all know and can stop speculating. (No, it wasn't actually Alix. Or Michi. Or whoever else people thought it was, I think I've seen at least a half-dozen names, and many of them didn't even remotely make sense.)
Not to be rude, but I'd have a hard time to be sympathetic to someone's feelings if they attacked me, especially if I didn't do anything to warrant it. Again goes for our anon person, as far as I've been told by everyone else, I wasn't demonizing Alix, but I was attacked again. Unless I was demonizing in your eyes @seebs and the anon's eyes.
Not to walk on all fours. That is the Law. Are we not Men? Not to scratch on trees. That is the Law. Are we not Men? Not to get mad. Not to get nude. That is the Law. Are we not Men?
