I was working on a craft commission and not feeling it, so I decided I would pack up for the night and went to screw the lid onto my jar of 1mm Swarovski crystals. Naturally I fumbled it and dropped the whole bastard lot into my deep-pile living room carpet. Things I have learned tonight: Do not work on commissions when no spoons. Several hundred 1mm crystals take a loooooong time to pick up with tweezers. Especially the hotfix ones which are grey on the back and a bugger to find. My living room carpet really does need vacuumed daily. I do not ever, ever want to take a commission to decorate a wine glass again. Ever. *lies quietly in a puddle of self-created failure*
I feel your pain @hellfirelover, but luckily only a small fraction of it. I make small model railway locomotives and often there are two or four tiny parts to be affixed in awkward places and you need all of them of course. Slightly the wrong grip with the tweezers and PING they're gone. Where? The God of Small Things may know but I'm buggered if I ever will.
