honestly the escape team has REALLY grown on me as an album? like, yeah, it’s super short (especially for tmbg), but it’s really cohesive and flows nicely and has a lot of memorable tracks.

    upload_2018-12-16_11-11-5.jpeg

also the album art is great.

fun fact: if i post one (1) tmbg song a day, it would take me multiple years to (hypothetically) get through their entire catalogue

that is not an exaggeration, they are that prolific

It is indeed! They have over 800 iirc and while they're taking a brief (and MUCH-DESERVED they've been releasing new music and touring ALL YEAR) break after this year they've shown ZERO signs of stopping. I love them for this.

...They also have 20+ studio albums (anywhere from 20 to 27, I think, depending on which ones you count as studio albums and which ones you count as compilations--officially they have 22 but I count the B-side/podcast/Dial-A-Song compilations as studio albums, so...they have 27 in my book, but some people would probably not count My Murdered Remains, More Murdered Remains (which is a bonus disc so that’s admittedly semi-questionable), or The Escape Team as studio albums so some might say they have as few as 20? And I bet some wouldn’t count Phone Power and they’d say 19, so...)and they're all good.

(john henry is the best tho)

venue songs is admittedly semi-iffy because it's partially a live album, but a lot of the songs on there got studio recordings and those are all on there, so...

bonus: MOST of their albums have a fair few songs

their shortest album is the escape team, which only has 11, but most of them have like...13 at the absolute least, usually 15 or more? hell, john henry has 20 (and is about an hour long, it's their longest in terms of sheer runtime iirc)

also i should absolutely consider more murdered remains an album, it's all studio recordings too. will add that.

must add songs from it to my Ultimate TMBG Playlist too
