Has anyone else seen this beautiful, weird, wonderful show? I originally watched it with my bestie when it was new, but now that Netflix bought it and may be making a sequel I'm rewatching it with my mom (her first watch through)! The fucking artistry in every frame and how utterly bizarre every creature is never cease to amaze me. I'll see a new thing and have absolutely no idea how it will move next, or if something is a creature or not. Also, the characters! I hated kamen's guts the first time, but now I just feel bad for him. Like, Spoiler: Legit spoilers I get that he basically fucked everyone over by changing course of the ship, especially his wife, but damn did he have it rough. The fucking unbearable guilt of this rat man My favorite character is Levi, because of course it is, and I cannot get over how the show depicts burgeoning sentience in AI and how it's handled. Masterful.
I've been meaning to, because I see and hear a lot of good things about it! Just lacking on streaming service subscriptions at the moment.
We did finally finish it and my mom just looked at me when it was over and went, "...What the fuck!" Does anyone have ideas on what exactly the symbolism of the pretty white flowers was as the show went on? I can't quite wrap my head around it but they looked pretty important
