I LEFT IT IN THE OTHER RAVE
I can't understand what the red shirt guy is saying. He's horny.
He sure is.
He likes to talk a lot, it seems. Do you want a paraphrase?
Varied by region and pretty often along caste too, even if labor-types did their best to give most newcomers room to stretch. Where ya from?
Boo hoo, someone offered a case study alongside general anatomical reference. It's almost like variance within type is a thing!
Make a new one?
Yoooo, welcome back! If it's the accent thing, dream-squish it back to text instead of audio and replace:
9 > o
6 > b
If it's his word choice and style that's on him, he's long-winded and likes all the academic words. He's just throwin' a fit 'cause we went off on a tangent about the mechanical issues of interspecies fragging.
Devisiun. An' we mostly got slag from the word go since we're cursed.
Ah, gotcha. Yeah, I dunno how much of that tradition any of the colonies kept, Archive might be able to tell ya more?
You're not listening!
"I don't know what the hell you're talking about," Ford says. 'That looks like something you found on an internet forum. Lissa won't let me go on a lot of internet forums any more because I have a problem with Wrong On The Internet and sometimes I can't resist trolling the morons."
[He-- doesn't frown. Nope. Don't do that. He slips back into something more resembling an Iaconian accent, though, and fixes his posture. Be Polite.] I'm listening. I might not be parsing correctly, but I'm listening. So far you've said: [rather than paraphrase, he plays perfect recordings:]
I was speaking of the Cybertronian tradition, because it's what I am most familiar with; I am not currently in contact with modern Cybertron or any of the colonies. I do not have an appropriate frame of reference for Devisen norms or the discussion thereof.
We mostly got slag. Me n my twin.
"I'm just confused. This person's reacting like I said the kinds of stuff I might say to @WRENCH and his cute friend Marcus."
"I doubt he has ever been horny in his entire life," Ford mutters under his breath.
A rephrasing of my own response, then:
I acknowledge you are from Devisiun rather than Cybertron; I am unsure how much of the Cybertronian tradition of a leeway period was carried over to Devisiun and as such am unsure whether those not seen as 'cursed' would have been allowed such where you and your twin were not. Archive of Caminus, as an archivist and a historian, may have related information should we wish to seek a third source.
...I don't really know myself, though. It's not like most of the people our age talked to us. We're 241.
I have not yet had enough of an observation period to theorize as to his motivations.
...is that considered young?
Not his word choice, how he says the words. Hard to explain. Hello everyone.
*Fiddles absently with the pull strings on his hoodie*
Lissa sits on Ford's lap. "The rest of y'all still like me, right? I mean except for the ones that didn't before. We can't all like everyone."
Ford puts down his book (he's trying to figure out whether that sketch @WRENCH showed him looks like anything he should have recognised) and cuddles her.
"If people don't like you that's their problem."
He rests his chin on the top of her head, between her ears, which reliably makes her laugh. It doesn't fail.
