also i find it funny that the description implies that devo never did anything past the early 80s, which isn't true even to this day

devo did an album as recently as 2010

even when this came out, devo had last made an album in 1990........

recently found this youtube channel by a dude called David Seymour. a very average home cook trying to recreate recipes from places like Tasty and BA Test Kitchen

 

last night i set up a VM (first time using virtualization on my new computer btw :0 it works well!!) to run a program that'll allow me to export cd+g graphics from cd+g's into .avi files!! i've been really into digitally preserving my media recently. i now have the hard drive space to do it, so why shouldn't i?

I have an unspoken appreciation for this b-side(?) of Music for the Masses. it's literally just Martin Gore playing Moonlight Sonata, which is my favorite classical piano piece :')

 

Moonlight Sonata was one of the preset demo songs on my first keyboard (a Casio LK-44)

deep-cleaned the front closet today!! reorganized everything, condensed a bit, put the sliding closet doors on the rails (i don't believe the sliding doors had ever properly been installed to begin with, but i "fixed" it)...

also found a few things we'd been looking for, so that's a bonus!!

 

also participated in a F*cebook research study today. can't talk about what was said because i signed a non-disclosure, but it certainly happened.

had to read over the agreement 3-4 times to double check that i could say that i participated in one

 

i have listened to Weezer maybe 2-3 times this year and yet no matter what I do Spotify keeps throwing songs from the blue album in my daily mix 1...daily mixes 2/3 time

 

not that I don't like the blue album, it's just really out of place in that daily mix

 

that research study gave me a compensation big enough that I was able to get my dad something for Father's day

this is an animation cel from one of his favorite shows growing up, Star Blazers. i'm so pumped for him to get this, he's gonna love it

 

my dad's really pulled through for me recently. he's a really swell dude. i aspire to be like him someday.
