I listen to a wonderful narrative/gaming podcast called Skyjacks, and at the end of some episodes they do interviews for people to join their crew. These interviewees are sometimes references to other media and usually silly.

In a recent one, they were interviewing a Cats-style cat named Otto Van Von Veen. The DM said he performed a song, then jokingly said they'd have the guy who makes the music for the podcast come up with something.

The composer delivered this wonderment

Latawnywa, The Naughty Horse, Learns To Say No To Drugs.

I'd read about this book's existence in a Cracked article ages ago, so obviously when I found the full thing online (linked above) I read the whole thing. (Not that that's saying much, it's very short.) I knew a book about realistic horses doing drugs would be weird, but I very much underestimated the, ahem, quality of the art and prose.

Seriously, read it, it's one of the funniest things I've seen in a while.

Don’t remember everything in this show but they did do a lot of Christian puppet show scripts so that’s a point in its favor

Honestly I’d gotten it mixed together in my brain and was not aware until a bit ago that latawnya the naughty horse was not a puppet show script

 

Link? The only podcasts that appeal right now are DnD/narrative podcasts and my two faves are biweekly. Searching on my podcast app brings up a lot of political junk
