    Interesting troll gender theory:

Not actually a headcanon but an idea for use in an AU, sourced from a lovely discussion in the Drone Season discord; I'd been looking for a trait that didn't correlate to any real-life racial traits, and we decided Prospit and Derse dreamers could have different patterns on their skin and/or sclera. Prospitians can have puffy cloud-shaped vitiligo, and Derse dreamers can have swirly tentacle-esque patterns. Remind me to draw that.

Coming up with possible trolltags fitting the GCAT theme for the Troll Call. Elwurd in my future fics will be appellationGatherer ("many names and even more for sale"), and Diemen abattoirAnabaptist, an anabaptist being a pickpocket who was caught in the act and punished by being thrown in a pond. I love obscure words.

In case you weren't aware, "anabaptist" is also a family of Christian denominations.

I wasn't. Should I change that? I only knew the "pickpocket" definition.

I'd say that's up to you, but as a datapoint, I had only heard it in the religious context.

It sounds like the pickpocket definition is a play on the titular Anabaptist belief of adult baptism, with the thief being 'baptized' by being thrown in a lake.

(The 'ana' is from greek, meaning, 'again', not 'anti')

shadow lenna from lenna's inception enjoys cooking, especially experimenting with new things. she's used to being sustained by magic so food is exciting for her.

she ends up sort of jumping into doing a lot of cooking after the perfect ending, just sort of...inserting herself into paige and the other lenna's living arrangements and taking over cooking duties over the course of a few weeks (and some of that was learning how to use modern appliances from paige)

(human lenna is great at things like camp cookouts! but cannot be trusted with a typical kitchen. she probably blew up the microwave at some point.)

shadow lenna has the advantage of knowing that probably no matter how bad an experiment turns out human lenna will probably eat it. if human lenna won't eat it it's either a. very sweet or b. probably completely inedible

What's everyone's favourite theory on how carapace anatomy works? Insect, ball-jointed doll, or solid shell all over which still moves as easily as skin because magic? I honestly struggle to picture anything but the latter, because I don't process stylisation very well.

In the Pokemon universe the Untitled Goose Game exists, except it's the Untitled Ghost Game and features a horrible Gastly.

Gastly can phase through solid objects, but this also means it can not pick them up or interact with them, so all the puzzles are based around scaring or tricking other pokemon and humans into doing things for you. You have to avoid your trainer who is trying to get you to go back into your pokeball.

Some people complained about this being inaccurate, because Gastly CAN interact with solid objects in real life (witness; Pokemon Camp, the anime) but it made for a super innovative game that made you think outside the box to solve the puzzles.

Also, the end goal was to steal your trainer's pokeball.

EDIT: no, to steal ALL their pokeballs, let their other pokemon out, and party with them.

The creators explain it is a young gastly that hasn't learned to master its powers yet. Ghost trainers the world over nod and say this is the most accurate depiction of what living with ghost pokemon really feels like.

There's a buncha YouTube videos of ghost trainers reacting to the game. Including some of the big star ones; Morty, Shauntal, Phoebe and Acerola.

I think someone needs to make this game a reality, because holy fuck that sounds fun.

If they do it needs to be drawn in Untitled Goose style.

lenna's inception: Tressa doesn't usually randomly give out patents.

She panicked when faced with Paige and both Lennas and was frantically trying to play it cool. As for why...she knows the same thing Delvin and Mammon and Paige know...and, unrelatedly, thinks at least one of the three protags is cute.

She spent the entire journey back to the status effect store internally screaming and frantically playing it cool.

There end up being about three different conversations going on. Paige and shadow Lenna have one set of information, Tressa has a second set, and human Lenna has a third set...but nobody is aware of the giant holes in everyone else's information set

I have never heard of that definition before, and looking around, it appears it may have been informal criminal slang, not the standard usage, the point being that it's not what the word means to anyone else.
