btw i'm borrowing a copy of The God Eaters from seneca and when i saw your picture on the back i made a lot of hyena noises. YOU'RE A BABY. A SMOL MARSHMALLOW CHILD. OH MY GOSH.

so, like. it's probably good you're significantly older than me, if we were the same age i don't think i could take you seriously. you would be like 'yes i am a brilliant and accomplished writer' and i would be like 'ok but also you're literally a kitten.'

idle suggestion: if the captain's setting up the ship as a wretched hive of scum and villainy, maybe lu can be their drug runner.

unnerving thought of the day: erskin's actually pretty good at dealing with people, and he's especially great at charming them. as little kids bel was handily ignorable since erskin didn't want to read and bel didn't want to hunt, but if they'd found some sort of common ground to get to know each other, and then bel managed to sell him on reenactment battles— travel! adventure! fightey challenges! also haha here's twenty kids who are depending on you to keep them alive you can't leave halfway through— erskin and bel and pancho would have made a hell of a team.

i guess we'll be seeing that in the regular rp if we ever get there! it'll be fun. i like erskin being this overtly gormless mess like 'lol i live in the woods and eat sticks and can't read, how do people', but then actually being a really talented secret agent. it's improbable! but it's also just a fun rp so i am going to get away with it.

 

i am so pleased that this is the case btw, i remain continuously insecure that i'm writing characters who are fun to be around and not insufferable sues.

 

btw if we're going with the Ha Ha Let's Be Criminals plot there's going to have to be some interludes for fun Dress Up Spy stuff. especially if it involves erskin flitting about and simpering at creepy old dudes and bel standing there in an imposing bodyguard suit and trying not to get a boner or rip anyone's head off or both.

 

Yeah! He actually hasn't yet managed to impress Erskin with any of his cool soldier moves, I don't think. It was heroic of him to go lead that party to fight the zombies, but Erskin didn't get to see any of that and would have been having fifteen consecutive heart attacks if he could. We should arrange for Bel to do something very badass in front of Erskin and for Erskin to unsuccessfully try and play it off like 'well I could have done that too I just did not happen to feel like it'.

btw you should do a lil write-up of whitey here, like, what's he look like, his horns, height, voice, whatever. mannerisms. proclivities. i'm just super interested.
