goldenflowertea this universe SUCKS but it is full of FRIENDS

Dragon Age Inquisition: the Chargers, being from a variety of different regions and backgrounds, have an ongoing game of seeing who can get people to believe the most ridiculous thing about one's homeland/culture/origins.

The Bull himself is uncontested champion of this, mostly due to the lack of any other qunari to call him out.

When he revealed to them that he was a Ben-Hassrath spy, he immediately was accused of going too far to be believable. It took quite a while to persuade them that he was actually serious.

Rose Quartz has grown sentient weed at least once. Steven will one day probably end up accidentally following in her exact footsteps there.

It's like that cow from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the weed just really really wants to be smoked. Unfortunately it's very hard for a plant to convey this.

It's rumoured that Neil Gaiman suggested that the animals perched on the demons' heads in the Good Omens miniseries are in fact the vessels of the demons' consciousness, and the human bodies are just puppeted around for convenience. I think I love this idea, even if it's not actually supposed to be canon. (Crowley has a snake tattoo, which in this context I guess is a sign that he's more absorbed in/attached to his human form?)

I'm pretty certain Good Omens' God doesn't actually have a plan, ineffable or otherwise, unless one counts, to quote Discworld's Death, I PLANNED TO SEE WHAT YOU WOULD DO. As someone on Discord pointed out, it did take Her a thousand years to finish light refraction, and Adam and Eve in the miniseries have no body hair so that probably got added in later too.

Presumably, since Good Omens is hard deterministic, everything that happens is God's plan.

Or God's actions are also deterministic, but that makes a bit less sense.

Is it stated that it's deterministic, or do the characters just think it is? I'm most of the way through the miniseries and it's been years since I read the book.

Yes. Agnes Nutter is able to predict the future with 100% accuracy.

Maybe I'm bad at understanding this, but is her inner eye deducing what will happen in the future from what's happening now, or jumping around in time without her, and does that make a difference? Hm... prophecy is weird.

bugsnax: the journalist's flying boat is actually GNN's property mostly throughout the game, but postgame they get ownership of it and it gets fixed up properly and renovated and they entirely move out of their apartment into their boat

(filbo is still their housemate. filbo hecking loves living on a boat. filbo definitely gets to fly the boat sometimes.)

Miles Edgeworth is the guy who had to prosecute every single arrest made by Detective Conan and two years of that nonsense is why he's convinced that literally everyone he's ever met is guilty

Since GO is a Creationist universe, and in bookverse unlike the TV show it isn't specified that the Flood was just local, the angels were responsible for re-distributing all the animals after the Ark, a la this. Picture Homer Simpson with the tortoise - "When I'm kicking you that means hurry up!"

    Waluigi theories

Current theory: Waluigi is just a regular guy named Walter or something and the Waluigi persona is more or less an elaborate roleplay that got out of hand a few years ago. Because he started out in the sports games, right? He's only involved in the entire franchise because Wario called his tax guy and said he needed a doubles partner for tennis. So he figured that if he's going to be in a tennis match with Mario, Luigi and Wario, he might as well buy some purple overalls and join in the aesthetic, right? So now he's Walter, regular dude during the week and every weekend he puts on a fake moustache so he can go pretend to be an asshole and play golf or soccer or whatever. And because he's a sports character he still gets to sleep in on days when Bowser is attacking.
