Another thing is that people try to put the entire situation they're CWing in the tags sometimes. Like one of my fics has "cult mindsets" as a tag because it's from the POV of the cult-upbrought character, but the actual explanation of how that applies is in the notes, where it should be. Trying to put all that information in tags is another way we get overtagging.
Not tags, but still very much in the spirit of the thread, I believe. Not knowing much about Ernest Hemmingway, I will have to take the author’s word on this, though I do have to wonder if he might not be at least a little distracted by the tentacles. Excerpt from a summary. Your guess is as good as mine. It did have all the projected number of chapters completed and wasn’t orphaned. Not exactly a mystery for the ages or anything, but it did make me go huh?
Someone should absolutely do that! It sounds pecfect! ......I mean, OBJECTION! I'm like 97% sure this particular one was BNHA, though I cannot for the life of me remember anything else about it except that I'm pretty sure it was rated T? Why I even remember that, I really don't know. I was just scrolling. I don't remember what characters were in the fic, let alone who might be panicking fancily. The tag just made me snort laugh.
I have no idea if the author hates Chisaki, which would be understandable, or just wants to be precise about the “everyone” ship tag they used. Perhaps they’re deeply committed to not giving this man hives by placing him in an orgy. Whatever the case may be, the tag was already funny enough, but every time someone rates it, it makes me absolutely cackle, and y’all are awesome.
I posted that and then on the next page of the same tag: It is 900 E-rated words tagged "Pregnancy Kink" and "Emetophilia." I am slightly in awe.
I misread “Pregnancy Kink” as “Pregnancy Kirk,” so I guess rest assured it could always get weirder??
