More Leia fic. In particular, Palpatine dies of evil-old-man-syndrome about a year before A New Hope is set, and the Force tells Vader that the appropriate successor is Senator Organa.

The White Orchid series by jerseydevious and Kieron_ODuibhir, a one-shot, a completed 3-chapter fic, and a 1/3 chapter fic.

Basically just Leia and Vader antagonizing each other.

Warning: somewhat graphic discussions of Vader's robot suit and the medical-malpractice funtimes within.

I feel like a/b/o is one of those tropes that most people, if they don't start out liking it, eventually develop stockholm syndrome for. it's so popular that you'll find at least a few hiding in the corners of every fandom (assuming they're not sitting outright at the top of the kudos list), and then the law of large numbers and the many years since the trope's introduction guarantee some absolute gems of a/b/o out there as well as a whole lot of bread-and-butter goodfic. so one day at 12:30 am you give up and finally read that one a/b/o fic you keep on scrolling past on page 1/4 of fics for your rarepair, and next thing you know it's 2 years later and your bookmarks are full of the stuff.

anyway here's a Temeraire a/b/o: Resurgence by ladyshadowdrake. I'm only on chapter 4 of 27 but it has ~worldbuilding~ and fantastic writing and characterization. I have stopped insisting don't like a/b/o and accepted my fate ¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

 

also featuring my favorite OC I've met in a fanfic in years, and very skillful rearranging of the plot around the changed world! it's almost 8 am as I write this which is a review in itself lol

Really good look at who Jaime could have been if he had escaped from his sister and father and King's Landing. For instance, now he has to deal with the Starks a lot more, which makes all of them very happy.

I tried to pick ones that were both complete and didn't depend on which ending the streamer got and also weren't either depressing or full of Weird Sex. Also they both feature Hornet because I love Hornet.

Final Fantasy XV, Ignis/Gladio, epistolary, a large splash of identity porn again. I'm marking this one a sort of because there is a lot of pining, and the characters don't properly get together until the end, but there is a part somewhere in between where a lot of the pining is because they don't know who each other are and have certainly admitted some feelings.

 

now THAT is what I'm TALKING about

one of these days I'm going to have no choice but to watch The Untamed just because it seems like there's enough high quality fanfic in there to cause some kind of toxic shock syndrome if read too quickly. I'm moving it to the top of my list, no more procrastination, I think 3 years is long enough to put it off lol

 

There are a lot of fics out there about Ingo and/or Dawn finding their way back to the present day, but this is the one that I can't stop thinking about: Detours by Browniefox (Pokemon Legends: Arceus and also Diamond and Pearl)
