hmm, i seem to have gone through all the routes... so, now i just have to go look for the taillow on rt 8 and the ekans on rt 14 i GUESS.

 

naturally, since i spent seventy years on route eight previously looking for taillow before giving up in disgust, they show up within like five minutes this time.
i suppose i'm not complaining. just got this vague feeling i'm being played for some kind of FOOL

you know i do wonder what the thought process was wrt putting Ingo in PLA
he's not from sinnoh?? he's from unova. is it a nudge nudge wink wink about the fact that black and white are next on the list to be remade?

there is no explanation for why or how he got here. admittedly i technically haven't entirely finished the whole plot because I haven't encountered arceus yet, but i've done everything else and there's nothing. Volo doesn't mention him in his crazed ranting about how much he's mad he can't meet god even though he broke everything, which is at the least very heavily implied to be why you're there. he starts to remember a few things when you're hanging out with him but nothing that would suggest arceus spoke to him like it spoke to you
he has basically complete amnesia, for that matter, and although there are a couple of dialogue options where you can choose to say you, too, can't remember things, there are also ones that prove you remember everything just fine.

my secret hope is that he's just the scrunkly of one of the developers in which case i salute the sheer audacity to just put ingo in and refuse to give any explanation.
