Boat Trolls planning thread! (full of spoilers, non-players enter at your own risk)

okay how about, in order:

• murfey is patched up enough to get sprung from sick bay
• pancho reattaches his arm then rounds on erskin and puts him through a proper examination
• sigmah is called in, mildly agrees to a transfer for whatever sigmah reasons he has
• they finally reach the nearest station, which is a nice refueling hub for ships going to one front or another.
• yay shore leave! time to go pick up commercial goods and interesting new infections.
• when it's erskin's turn he gets waylaid by wavescar's agents or whatever
• jethro saves the day because jethro and sigmah are here to transfer to the sunslammer
• the next evening is startling and awkward for everyone.

Man the last week's been nuts for me. Finaly getting some time to laze around again, yay.

Anyway i re-read my last space navy post and realize i left it pretty vague, which is kind of my habit to avoid god-modding, but i am slllllowly learning you don't like because it's too open-ended. Do you want me to set a scene up more specifically? Like have erskin get all the way to murfey's room and describe how he is...?

Btw I figured Murfey being stoned with a cute seadweller in his lap would result in a certain amount of automatic groping and flirting, but nothing has to come of it. Erskin's main priority is probably going to be getting some broth into him and babysitting till Pancho or Lainey shows up.

eta: if Murfey pushes he could probably get Erskin riled up? but Erskin's still going to be real worried that Murfey isn't in any kind of shape to lose more body fluids, haha.

Nah, Murfey's not the right kind of dude for him, anyway. Erskin's already set himself up in a, 'I'm in charge, I'll take care of you,' position, like with Arguus, with the additional shallowness of how he sees Murfey as a transient guest rather than crew. So he's totally down to care for and support and protect these guys that he sees as fragile and precious! But absolutely not about to give them an opportunity to reciprocate beyond shallow physical exchanges. He's one of those asshole stoic types that thinks he's 'burdening' his partners with his 'problems', plus straight-up doesn't like to be sniffly or vulnerable in front of anyone anyway.


I think Jethro will be good because he'll come in overtly as Erskin's caretaker, and probably swat him on the nose if Erskin won't cooperate.

I wonder if half the reason Erskin put up with Sal for so long, so cheerfully, is he'd rather a brisk, cruel doctor that only barely treats his phsyical injuries than a kind and perceptive one who'd go poking around at his feelings.

 

If Murfey does reach out for pale attention Erskin would definitely groom and pet him, but I don't know whether that would be good or bad for Murfey emotionally.

 

These dorks are super cute. Should Lainey or Pancho show up? We could move along to Pancho poking at them/Erskin, probably.
