And ngl, the first thing I did when I opened up the contest page was scroll down, look at the breed icons, and go 'well thank fuck, at least people can't complain about there being no 'native' breed skins/accents this go-round.' Instead, of course, they'll complain about how the admins are clearly in conspiracy to not pick the best skins so they can make more gem sales from the artists selling them. :U glad that coatl wings accent won, I remember thinking that one was pretty rad :3 Edit: and no imperials! doubly thank fuck for the 'UGH WHY ALL THE IMP SKINS' crowd needing to stay in their salt mines for at least another month.

Eeee excitement! I'm a new user on Flight Rising, I joined during the last enrollment period, and I just hatched my first two nests. One of them only had one egg, and the other had three. Look at my pretty iridescent babies! I think I'm going to keep the first two and sell the third. Not sure what to do with that Fae boy- maybe I'll exalt him?

I'm glad I didn't reject that friend request, I kept meaning to come here and ask if someone had added me but I never get around to it XD If the Fae is a Gen 2, the offspring of your progens, he might have some promise for selling even ungened, as it might provide diversity for a breeding range.
@Raire Yeah, the fae is a Gen 2! I actually didn't know that, huh. I'm pretty obtuse at these sort of things, which isn't helped by my overall... newbie status, I guess. Also WHOOPS that's why you don't trust your instincts when it comes to things like actually making a post instead of just checking that you did.

No worries, it is mostly a newbie thing, and it takes a while to learn what trends and preferences can appear in the market. It's a bit niche - you aren't anywhere near guaranteed a bite, much less a good bite - but it is worth trying for, especially since right now you won't be struggling with lair space like older players are XD For the fae selling, you can change his name to Gen2 and put him on the AH for more than exalt fodder prices (anything below 15k treasure is the safest range to consider, though generally the practical range is 12k). You can check the dragons wanted thread for anybody looking for specific colors and pimp out that he is the first 2nd gen of progenitors, so he is currently guaranteed to be able to breed with any other dragon of the appropriate sex. You can also make a post on the dragon sales post, and on tumblr within the flight rising tag to boost that. Then it is just putting him on the AH and being patient and checking avenues when possible.
That Cranial Hornhelm gets passed around so often on all my dragons I'm sure it's like a game of musical chairs. In any case I liked the Opalescence accent so much I grabbed a female PC at random from the AH and now I love her? I wish I didn't sell my Tatters or she'd be wearing those too but oh well.
