This is just me bragging probably, but not only do I get a day off tomorrow because we're iced in, it's also a Paid day off because I work for the city
The shower curtain I got for my new place is just giving me so much joy. Just LOOK at this perfection!
Browsing AO3 and I found a fic I think is a fill for a thing I forgot I prompted on a kinkmeme seven or eight years ago. Wow.
Turning 25 today (it's 12 minutes after midnight where i am) and I have some Wal-Mart "wagyu" steaks for me and my bro tonight. I assume it's the lowest quality wagyu possible but they look nicer than the other steaks even if they're a bit smaller than some of the other options I had. I'm def "bigger but decent" steak over "smaller but 'better' " like I'm here for a full belly not chewing every bite for 60 seconds. Anyway, they aren't too small so hopefully they cook up nice. I cook my steaks in lots of butter over a good heat, that seems to be how the youtubers do it XD
it's me i'm the video game boy i beat the tutorial boss of dark souls three (a petty victory yes but i honestly never thought i would be 'good enough' at video games to even get that far, so i'm very much looking for buttpats regardless)
*pats the butt* listen all the souls games look horrendous hard and i'm proud that you managed to kick a boss' ass!
Was walking my cat, and a little boy out with his mother asked if he was friendly and was plainly delighted when Tibby was brave enough to sniff his hand. Then he showed me his 'very sharp scissors' (a pair of toy pliers) good afternoon to that little boy and that little boy only
Bad skin reaction to ferrets is probably NOT an allergy! Contact dermatitis brought on by their urine still hurts like fuck but it passes quicker and can be prevented without medication.
I got to go to the garden centre today! Bought some veggie seedlings (I'm letting myself be lazy about growing this year because of the mass amount of health issues I'm currently dealing with) and a new houseplant to replace a sad one who's gone to plant heaven. Also, when we got home the neighbour was just bringing her kids home from school so I got to fuss over their dog Jellybean and almost cried with laughter when her kids went inside and immediately had a fight which culminated in the eight year old middle child stomping outside and yelling "MUM! [Younger brother, six] hit me with a SHOE! I didn't even kick him that hard!!" Later in the Grown Ups Conversation, perhaps the same shoe flew several feet out of their front door and Oldest Child (11) had to hop out one-shoed to retrieve it, inform The Mother of further proceedings, and place a tender little forehead kiss on Jellybean's scrungly little face. I literally don't ever ever want children of my own, but other people's give me SO much joy with their chaos.
My cowriters put into words in our fic something I'd not really got before about disabilities, and I may remember it to cite in future. I understood people with disabilities don't want to be used as "inspiration" but wasn't sure how to describe why that was wrong or what one should say and do instead.
double-checked my paystubs while updating the monthly budget and have Significantly more income than when last I did this!
