aaaaa, chapter 28 of It Seems The Hills And Mountains Have Been Waiting is up! Around gets fucked and out gets found! :D
In Hell, the Simultaneous Translators are Swiss - heartwarming little Hetalia piece about what happens when the nations can't speak each others' languages.
Joanna yelling at Tywin for being a shit father. Everything I could ask for, really. The author and I are of the same mind for her characterization XD https://archiveofourown.org/works/841960
groundwork days by Nonymos 9/9 chapters Heymans Breda and Jean Havoc before, during, and after the events of Fullmetal Alchemist (manga/brotherhood) All of Mustang's people are much more than they seem.
Royal Flush by astolat 16/16 chapters Early in the War of Five Kings, Robb makes a brilliant play and leaves the Lannisters in a very unexpected position. Politics makes strange bedfellows. This one was a real rollercoaster. There's a reason it's currently untagged.
Well now I have to read it before the tags get added I'm gonna put my bets on Spoiler The title being "royal flush" and the "strange bedfellows" part of the new description being deliberately punny, and some unexpected romantic play being involved.
Spoiler: chapter 11 Did I say *some* romantic play? Some? I'm starting to realize that the "royal flush" title meant ALL the major players are going to get paired off with about the best options for them at this canon point, and there's gonna be a LOT of fucking. Strange bedfellows indeed.
Roller.coaster. Mind that explicit tag, and wow, yeah, I didn't see most of those twists coming! Spoiler Olenna is my favorite terribly effective schemer, the hints of how much of everything she arranged...
Running in the Shadows One of the better MCU/DC fusions I’ve read to date. Initially something I skipped over, because “What if (character) was actually (other character’s) real dad!!?!?!” has never really been my thing, and also, fuck Tony Stark, but I ended up liking where they went with it. Managed to blend the universes convincingly and without much jarring tonal mismatch. (Bat-centric, Tim Drake being the one with the unfortunate biological parent. Manages to balance out “Yes, Tony Stark is a charming, likable character with sympathetic motivations” nicely with, “but also, fuck that guy.”)
Major spoilers for the second story in the series, "out of the valley of shadows", I'm mid chapter 6 and Spoiler Palatine's death was so anticlimactic that I flipped round from incredulous into utter delight. That wrinkly fuck had no grand battle or daring escape to plot further, he just got shanked in an alleyway and it's so satisfying tbh Edit: but yeah seconding rec, it's fun! Edit edit: I meant chapter 5
Eye of the Tiger by tielan Calvin tries to figure out his kids, and Mr. Bun, and Hobbes. Susie mostly just rolls with it.
Who wants another currently-untagged ASoIaF rollercoaster from astolat? Winter's Crown "When the Night's King rides, the King in the North must answer. The King whose name is Stark." [Edit] Spoiler Petyr Fucking Baelish!
