    Starcrossedsky Burn and Refine

    Picked peppers!

Also attempted to do a job application, but the relevant location has been removed! Even though they're absolutely desperate for people! Another nail for the "hiring guy is trying to sabotage my mom's boss" theory.

    Juniperrome I Have A Hammer

Went to class (on time even, which is kinda rare for a Monday morning) and participated, like answering questions and stuff even if being called on and singled out in a huge lecture hall gives me major anxiety
And I'm going to go in and work on my drawing that needs to be done before class on Wednesday. In a minute. After I decompress in the cafeteria a little longer. (So. Tired. And those drawing benches are hellish on my back)

So three months ago I finally told my GP that I'd really like to get back on ADHD medication

A week or two later I got a call saying that I needed to call a number on the back of my insurance card and request a referral

A week or two ago I finally checked my card and discovered that there is no such number there

Today I've finally gotten around to sending my GP a message about what's happened and requesting hlap, so that's the productive thing I've done today.

    (I clearly need that medication :/ )

A week and a half ago, a person got back to me about my request and sent me a list of nearby counselling centers that take my insurance. Today, I managed to figure out which of them was nearest to me and call it.

Apparently everyone there is in a meeting at the moment, so I will get a call back "within the hour" to see about being seen. With any luck, I should have an appointment scheduled very soon!

    [knocks on wood]

    ETA
I have a phone appointment tomorrow with a counselor, and from there will get an appointment to be seen!

i feel like i have sort of been on a roll this week, but also have been missing a lot of extra things. i've been catching up on chores, but missing physio exercises and self-care. i've been catching up on actually going to class, but falling behind on prep work and homework. i've been making breakfast and dinner, but not lunch. guh. balance.

This probably doesn't belong here, but apparently this is where I'm documenting this process, so whatever

I just had the phone interview, and they're not entirely sure if they can help me because they don't have any psychiatrists there (thus, no prescriptions), but we're hopeful that if they coordinate with my GP they can still help me out. And if not, maybe they can point me in a direction that will.

Now I get to spend a month worrying that I screwed something up by answering a question wrong, or forgetting to bring something up, or something.

I cleaned the bathroom, and commenced Operation Make My Sister Clean Up All The Freaking Bottles She's Left In There. By which I mean I hauled all 35 bottles of shampoo/conditioner/shower gel downstairs and put them on the computer desk, along with two plastic bags (one for binning, one for transporting things back upstairs), along with a note explaining what needs to be done. This may or may not instigate World War Three. Either way, I don't care as long as the goddamn bottles are sorted.

After months of unemployment, executive dysfunction, and taking money from my parents, I finally have a job! I'm going to be a fruit cutter at safeway. It sounds like the perfect job for me and I'm really excited, and the excitement and sense of purpose and the knowledge that the future will actually contain something other than aimless anxiety have been motivating me to get other, little things done, like household chores. It's been a really good week :)

I have been fighting executive dysfunction all week, and yesterday I turned my final paper in! Then I went to campus today and did a bunch of stuff.
I still have one more thing I have to fight through, but by tomorrow 9pm I will be done with this semester!

swirlingflight inane analysis and story spinning is my passion

    - Actually picked up the phone when it rang today
    - Made an appointment with a vocational specialist at the therapy place I go to, to help me kickstart my job search
    - Went to therapy, talked, and had a really helpful realization about my anxiety and difficulties with mindfulness
    - Responded to a month-old email about getting the lost passwords to a bunch of old roleplaying accounts on Dreamwidth, including the account for an OC I've been pondering playing again.
    - Offered to give my roomie a ride home since it was dreary and raining out, and prompted us to say "fuck it" to cooking and went out for burgers. We both happily retreated to our respective caves and devoured the cooked flesh in happy, computer-lit isolation. It was a bonding experience.
    - Got the ball started on the next arc for Papyrus in the Weirdmaggedon game.
    - Interacted with a few players in the other rp game, slowly expanding my funtime social network.
    - Checked whether I got any important emails on my important email address

I told my roommate that I will not continue living with him after the lease is up, and it didn't turn into a manipulative argument. There's still a chance that he'll try to wheedle his way into continuing to be my roommate between now and moving out, but for now everything has turned out better than expected.
