So I know you're asking for something more serious and less jokey, and I'd love to see the same thing, but this reminded me of one of my all time favorite videos. It's supposed to be a comedy sketch but I always thought it was really wholesome? TW for vomit at the end:

Thinking I might buy a coverless duvet. Save some effort in dexterity.

Had to look up what a duvet was, and it's interesting! I personally sleep with a couple of quilts because a comforter (which apparently isn't 1 to 1 with a coverless duvet, it's said they're still most commonly less fluffy and warm) is too hot for the climate I live in. So from what I understand a duvet is like, comforter-like with a cover over it sort of like how pillows have pillowcases? You put the thing in a special case made for it? While comforters tend to be sold in a bed-in-a-bag situation, I'm led to believe you just get a new duvet cover if you wanna spice things up and buy separate other stuff on your bed that matches?

Idk why I'm so into this but it's just neat to me

Yeah, that's exactly how it works. I have several different duvet covers with matching pillows. It's for practical laundry reasons as well as aesthetic ones.

I think it's also way more common in Europe than it is in the US to have plain white sheets and have the duvet cover and pillow covers be the interesting colourful parts of the bed.

Yeah, and changing the cover on the things is as much of a nightmare of fumbling as you can imagine. I'm thinking a dealie where you can just run the whole thing through the wash as necessary would be easier.

Hilariously my duvet is one of the things I miss most dearly about living in England. The multiple blankets/quilts thing works best in most places in the US where the temperature varies wildly so you need to add/remove layers throughout the year, but having one big fluffy that I just snuggled under was so nice.

i found everything about laundry more difficult in England so the duvet cover scramble was just shuffled into that in general for me

Spirit Rangers is a really cute show, but why the hell did Netflix think that a show about Native American mythology set on Native American land needed to be dubbed with British accents??? Do they think English kids are that incapable of comprehending American speech?

British toddlers watching American shows too much develop American accents - it’s something they do to make sure the kids don’t end up sounding American, not to make it understandable to them. At least that’s the impression I got when I was an animator in England

Unpopular take: fleas are really cute and they go boing boing all day and I love them.

I totally misinterpreted the Pogues song "A Pair of Brown Eyes" when I first heard it and honestly I still like my version better. The official explanation is that the "old man in the corner" is the "he" mentioned later in the song and verse two is supposed to be him speaking, cornering the singer and telling war stories about a girl with brown eyes who saved him on the battlefield and disappeared, while the singer whose perspective is switched back to in verse three reminisces about his brown-eyed ex. I thought the singer was narrating verse two as well, remembering someone who saved him on the battlefield and all he remembers is their brown eyes, then the "he" he sees is another veteran who he suddenly recognises as his saviour. Gotta use that for a fanfic somewhere.

Space Sweepers, a Korean sci-fi about a ragtag bunch of guys in a spaceship who find a little girl. Ends really, really nicely and positively!

What kind of movies? New Gods: Nezha Reborn is a good animated adventure movie, if you're into that.
