Spoiler: weirdmageddon part 2 Apparently in the school-photo flashback, Dipper's birthmark isn't visible??? What??? Please let there be some kind of explanation for this in the finale. And also what is his other name?! (What if Dipper's "birth"mark only showed up in 2nd or 3rd grade and it's what kickstarted his interest in conspiracies and other weird stuff?)
Personally, I'm fond of the headcanon that Dipper's real name actually is Roderick and Quentin Trembley happened to actually be right.
Am I the only one who's happy that Spoiler: colors only bees and art students can see Dipper's decided against staying with Ford? I mean, in his own way, Dipper was trying to avoid growing up and moving on just as much as Mabel was. When he told her "summer ends" in DaMvtF, what he was actually saying was that Mabel's summer had to end. If she had to give up her friends, her brother, her grunkle, and everything that Gravity Falls had meant to her, while Dipper's summer got to go on indefinitely, and that was shown as somehow the right way for things to be, I'd have been seriously pissed. Also the Pines parents being subpar is purely speculation, while we've actually seen that Ford is kind of terrible about what can and can't be done with kids, no matter how reasonable on his part that is. (Personally I think he hasn't historically treated his assistants that well, either, but that's debateable. That he gives crossbows and mind-control devices to twelve-year-olds really isn't.)

So, um... I think I may have figured out who's going to die in the last episode. You all know how there was a lot of imagery of Stan burning/being on fire? I don't think I can remember a single instance after he brought Ford back where the imagery reoccurs to him. When fire does get mentioned again, it's Ford announcing his face is on fire. In other words, whenever fire is mentioned it's related to StanFord Pines.
Related to the above: Spoiler This post points out that the journal in The Last Mabelcorn that had the instructions for making the protective barrier? Was journal number one. The journal that Stan spent thirty years reading cover to cover. With four days and a lot of unicorn hair - plus a growing ragtag band of survivors, to split up the work - Stan could have set up the barrier while Bill was busy partying. Although I also saw a post floating around that was wondering if this is what Fidd's been working on since NWHS. That'd be cool too.
EXCELLENT. Spoiler I'm hoping for Stan, but I'm good with it being almost anyone... except Ford. He just needs the ego check too badly.
