went to a Christmas themed drag show with a bunch of friends and hosting them for the night!!! house full of friends <3
Netflix streams Monday Night Raw live now! I can watch the Greatest Show on Earth! Edit: very much enjoying it when they leave the ring and start doing crazy moves
I've been in kind of a funk with my art so far this year, so it was a big deal to me that I got a nice full-page color drawing based on a favorite song made this week, as well as an outline for a commission I was procrastinating. Also I recently got to splurge on a bunch of promising new fantasy books. ^_^
My mom got a much deserved and long awaited promotion at work, her department's budget has been increased so the other employees will be paid better, and her salary has been doubled!
Misread promotion as pronoun. Finally, her workplace is catching up with the times by including bonus genders as an employee benefit
Learned that Re:Zero had an entire third season while I wasn't looking! Now I can't wait to sit down and watch it. It feels so good to be hyped up about Re:Zero again :D
Cooking for myself. God, having the energy to cook for myself. I wanted spaghetti, so I made spaghetti, and I made it exactly to my current preference. I listened to my favorite jpop in the kitchen (I have a kitchen again!) and I stirred, tasted, and eyeball measured ingredients til it was perfect, and I have my spaghetti now and I'm so damn happy!
Went on a lil 3 day trip around the appalachians! Camped at a few cool spots, got to tour around some beautiful forests, check out little local artist galleries in small town, sample mead at a small meadery. Made a great campfire to sit and watch, got to experience the loveliness that is waking up inside the woods... just generally got to remember that i am so happy and refreshed when i get to wander around this cool world and see new things
Was Brave and contacted a fanfic author i admire on Tumblr and now we've been squeeing at each other in DMs for several days straight. Absolutely delightful
The discovery of the Largest Dark Sky Reserve in the World possibly being an achievable destination in my life. Big Bend National Park is a little out of the way but it's not an unachievable trip given where I live, and now all I need is to save money and hope a certain talking orange doesn't destroy it before I go. I love the night sky so much, and have lived in heavily light polluted areas my whole life. I've wanted to eventually go to Big Bend for years, before even knowing about this, and now I want to go twice as bad!
oh! I've been there and it is absolutely worth it, I sat outside my tent for like an hour just staring at the milky way. I don't think I was even in one of the darkest spots. you will love it if you go
