Harvest Moon, Story of Seasons, and other similar games!

I'm in summer of year two and can get married at any time. I've got the feather, the tsundere is leveled to max affection, I've upgraded the house a few times already. But I'm holding off. Because I want the big million dollar wedding gfdi. The big questions though: Eastern or Western style wedding? Do I propose, or should I hold out and hope for a reverse? I'm admittedly probably going to propose, I'm terribly adoring this nerd, his flower events have been absolutely precious already.

Yup! Three levels and two types per level with different payoffs. Western wedding is wedding dress and suit style. Eastern is a soft pink kimono and the dude in white. V pretty.

Cheapest is just you two and the guildmaster witnessing and very minimal gifts. Pregnancy happens slower after.
Middle range is a handful of people and more gifts, average pregnancy occurance.
Most expensive is everyone in town, a lot of gifts, and the knocking up happens in like. 15 days.

I think there was something similar in the last game but not as detailed at all because there was no major decoration mechanic involved. :V still can't decide if i want tsundere in the suit or the kimono because he looks precious in either. But I'm almost to the million mark.

You can even go on anniversary trips, but idk much about that yet. :D

 

they've added so much new stuff since my game came out i'm like steven-universe-star-eyes-ing a bit *o*

 

I'm hella excited because TWINS. Last game I played there was some kind of thing that auto-chose gender based on when the preggo scene triggered? Like. Day of the week thing I think..? Not sure though. Never delivered in that game, it took -ages- and the gameplay wasn't nearly as fluid as this. It doesn't feel like a grind as much.

Also: Nordic and Alpine skirt are goddamn adorable clothes and I'm close to getting my magical girl outfit. I've got a black and purple gothy jumper outfit as well that's adorable, and even a cute spotty raincoat that I wish I had IRL. The dogs are presh but I've only got one. I didn't realize till I got it that you have to not only train it like other games.. but you have to take it on walks occasionally, or it'll get fat and not do its job well because lazy.

also also: the pottery barn is -life-. I am making so much money, holy shit son. Definitely worth it.

No Witch Princess, but her niece is here and she is a precious little firecracker.

 

Witch Princess is pretty rough to marry anyway-- she kept triggering hurricanes on my birthday and laughing about it -_-

Yes, god, it's also a LOT easier to up the star quality. Fertilizer once a day. You can MAKE your own fertilizer once you get the right shed, and you can also dry out crops and harvest their seeds so you can start with as high of stars as you want. :D

And yeah i am too lmfao. tip though that i didnt realize till late and feel dumb about: a lot of the times, you can buy the rights to fields. And once you have a field, even if you won it in a contest instead, RENEW THE LICENSE RIGHT AS IT EXPIRES. Or you're insta-challenged. It is a pain in the dick, I would have had all the fields by now to myself if I'd realized. 8I

also progress update: 914k. I've decided not to wait for the reverse proposal, because Nadi's #1 item is a HUGE pain in the dick to get the recipe for, and he doesn't always give it to me as ilu gifts for me to regift immediately. 8Ic idk how close i am to the 30 i need, but i've got a feeling i'm pretty far off and i am impatient.

MY FARMGIRL WILL LIFT NEW HUSBAND OVER HEAD, CARRY BACK TO FARM LIKE CHEETAH WITH KILL.

(I still have rough drawings somewhere. I've wanted to draw Harvest Moon stuff and make things like stickers and charms someday if I learned how, with the farmers holding marriage candidates over their heads with their crazy strength like Link toting a new present.)

 

GOT MARRIED TO THIS GOOBER. WENT WITH THE EASTERN WEDDING CONSIDERING I'VE ALREADY DONE A DRESS IRL. AH. AHHH. IT WAS SO CUTE.

Also bonus: apparently there are regular mealtimes each day to be had once you're married? And you can take turns cooking?

 

i take back what i said about just buying the fields, the last 5 times I've tried it doesn't work, even if you go top price. I've also lost at damn near everything but guaranteed 5star crops, fashion, and animals. Sales amounts, item types, etc? Doesn't matter apparently, they are out for blood.

 

Pregnancy delayed: apparently my character will be resilliant as hell and not realize it till after I've found 4 more fucking hard to find ass metals and built a two story house.

Literally. The 15 days passed, and a day after I build the house it'll happen according to the guide I used for flower events and stuff. though to be fair it's going to be twins so I guess looking at a house with one room that's the entire living space, a bathroom and a walk in closet... isn't.. really big enough for that. Theoretically it is. But the ankle biters will have to wait till mom can gather precious earth minerals for their precious fucking house, because SOMEBODY can only occasionally pick up a rock off the ground and call it a day to contribute to the project. ://////
