Pbbt. Is anyone else inclined to believe that sometimes Undel is a dirty liar and reveals a new color of her choice rather than rolling the RNG? Cause it seems terribly appropriate that the new color Garnet should be revealed on the evening of a day where a new Steven Universe episode was aired, CENTERING on Garnet the character. :P Not that I'm complaining!
Don't forget that we're gonna get a Peridot color too! But yeah, I'd say an Amethyst color is definitely not outside the range of possibility- there's plenty of lightish purples yet to be revealed, and I see 'amethyst' as a color descriptor quite often outside of actual references to the gem itself. Also, a few times in the color wheel thread I've seen people (hopefully) jokingly longing for a pink 'Steven' color- which obviously won't happen, but they already have the perfect color for Steven dragons- Watermelon! which is a perfect pink for him and also WATERMELON STEVEN im so clever :V
Actually when used as a color description, Amethyst is usully in reference to dark purples, not light ones. Which, hey, both sides of royal are open. We have a lot of missing purples yet, honestly.
