Boat Trolls planning thread! (full of spoilers, non-players enter at your own risk)

is bel having trouble because he's enjoying being a wolf more this time around, or because he's used to resisting the change from the human side until the full moon forces him? or because he's changed too much also in the last few days?

 

i've been kind of thinking about it like.... it's easier to stand there wearing a heavy backpack that's getting heavier, than it is to try and struggle back to your feet wearing the backpack. so like someone could stay human all the way up to the full moon— as the weight increases until their legs give out basically?— but if you're sitting down and then getting back up again, it's going to suck progressively harder each time as the weight increases. so the week of, it'd be progressively rougher to get back to human shape.

dogs don't feel guilt so much as they fear punishment and disapproval, i think? but human kids definitely feel guilt, and woof-erskin's got a pretty childish emotional range. knowing he messed things up— when he really prides himself on being clever and fun and charming— is really overwhelming for him.

 

man, in deciding that erskin would be a wolf for like half the month, i really shot us in the foot re: writing makeouts whenever i want. >:T

 

Yeah it is probably time to move them along to the park. Especially if Bel's having more trouble getting back to human shape. Do we have any plot ideas for them being in the park?

 

oh, yeah! wouldn't trenchcoat dude get his ass kicked too quickly if they were all wolves, though? maybe he shows up with really cheap, stupid camping gear and does a lot of dramatic woodland posing and they bump into him. he's out to like, align.... his chakras. he knows kung fu.

i have def forgotten under what circumstances the werewolf hunter was gonna show up in. was he going to hunt them down in a big park where he wouldn't be observed and they wouldn't be able to change back to human?

 

also oh my god what if the trenchcoat guy is like 'I'M not FORCED into the change because I have a RATIONAL, DISCIPLINED INTELLECTUAL MIND. MY CHAKRAS ARE BALANCED."

also he thinks erskin is a coyote. there's no such thing as red wolves. that's some deviant art shit.

 

also i am completely sure this guy is a libertarian and thinks wolves somehow perfectly embody ayn rand's economic and moral principals.

 

hmmmm ok, let's do trenchcoat dude. also like, erskin prefers to deflect agression as well as sit around going 'lol and then what' with jerks, rather than picking a fight— and if the dude is a belligerent timber wolf, erskin would definitely be more inclined to just humor him than genuinely piss him off and throw down. he's an omega, you know.

plus, hey, this solves their entertainment problem for the week :D

they should also tell trenchcoat mcdingus that it is totally possible to solo a deer. go on. go get one. really.
