Also, I love that Smoky Quartz and Amethyst seem to have some sort of villainous friendship going on.

 

they're apparently friends/acquaintances trying to one up each other? or amethyst just likes one upping people that's possible.
and it's really obvious where Lavender gets her talkativeness from.

You've said that she isn't allowed to know serious stuff, maybe Amethyst can send her off so she won't overhear anything and Smoke can be sent along so she doesn't do anything "bad"?

I'm also around - could easily have Onyx engage Amethyst and Smoky in conversation and we three Pearls sidle off. perhaps to get ready for the dance?

had a similar idea for Amethyst tosend Lavender off for warm-ups
it would be a nice pull of rank from either Onyx or Smoky Quarz or both to send their pearls after to enforce order or they can just be sent to do stretches too

I think most people have been sort of playing the owners of their pearls alongside the Pearls as needed as sort of npcs? at least that's how i handle amethyst. Owner type characters are generally best handled by either the same person or a in very close communication with the owned character's mun bc otherwise there can be lots of drama
but if you really don't want to play red topaz we can try to find a solution?

Yeah, I know, I just don't have any ideas for how to play her, and thought that if there were issues it'd be simple enough to edit things...

 

I was thinking I'd just play her as an elitist, apathetic diplomat, real close to a Diamond, very hands-off so there wouldn't be much potential for drama. Possibly a good antagonistic background character for later. I'm also totes fine with editing if @KarrinBlue doesn't like something - hers is the main character in that pair :)
