I am definitely imagining @The Singing Spinel banging open the Earth temple door and going "ROSE HOLY FUCK"

 

How about:
Smoke and Lavender fuse
they trade off: Gray and Smoke fuse, at which point Lavender beckons to Rita and they fuse
Smoke-Gray and Lavender-Rita are prepared with fuse with Blue, this is the big finale
Rose runs up, fuses with Blue
Smoke-Gray, Lavender-Rita, and Blue-Rose fuse
GigaPearl takes out Almandine
and then we all know how it goes from here...

 

This is a good plan, I like this plan.
Now, how do we write it? Should we work together to write the fusions, while the start of the dance is a big one post?

 

how about one person writes a little intro - ooh pretty music, swirly Pearls - and then as we get into the fusing part, we could do individual posts (or fusion posts? i dunno that might be getting too complicated) - and then Rose does her bit and keeps going until all hell breaks loose?

actually i really like that! maybe the massive Pearl fusion is a good act one? it would probably be inadvisable to finish a dance of the Pearls with a single massive fusion, there's far too much possibility of "heeeeeeey aren't we great??" so they're ordered (before the show obv) to unfuse ASAP so they don't get any funny ideas. and then we do the trade-off fusions, which are a totally different effect than "holy shit massive fusion".

 

So, should we write them peeling out of the fusions, and dancing with their partner?
We should probably get anyone who has a Pearl but hasn't commented yet in here quickly.

@Dist I see your point but I also like the symmetry of Blue fusing with Rose first, y'know? it also lends to the idea that Pearls can think on their own, if all Rose has to go on is seeing Rita disobeying, rather than becoming that? i dunno. just thinking out loud.

anyway. this all sounds great! and good. and excellent. and I cannot think of more words.
but yeah, I like this plan.

 

also, heads up: Almandine's probably going to do something that causes Rose to take hold of the fusion's arm and grab her. maybe approach the Giga-Pearl and start screaming at Rose to un-fucking-fuse right this goddamn instant. and Rose scoffs, picks her up, and...well, Rose then squeezes a bit too tight, and...poof!

 

OH I THOUGHT OF SOMETHING. So I still want to involve Celestine, but what if she's there as a guest of Blue Diamond's court with sympathies towards the Pearls, but she volunteers to go after them (she's an aerial type after all) except she is really being sneaky and trying to join them?

so are we doing giga fusion first or smaller fusions into bigger fusion?
also i like the idea of Lavender going 'hey hey rita hey wanna come here and fuse with me?' with gestures. so that can definitly be how all hell breaking lose starts :D

hm - i wonder if @lilacsofthedead should edit her post slightly to remove the "Blue is going to pick one of these"? then we can stick to the three massive Pearl fusions (which, honestly, if you put them together i feel like the fusion wouldn't fit in the hall XD), and then those can unfuse in a lovely lightshow and we can move into act two?

i kind of like the idea of honouring Blue Diamond by having these three massive Pearls dancing around Blue, it's a lovely idea :D
