yes oh my gosh that's great! because Blue Diamond would of course want to make an example, but the real Blue Pearl is too valuable (and also many clandestine LOVE), so a clone gets broken and we all see it and it's very sad and then later on THEY FIND HER oh wow i love it so much.

so essentially
what I'm gonna do
is the following:
I assume, given that we are thinking up weapons, there will be fighting at some point.
Rose is highly unused to conflict and has spent most of her life avoiding it.
she's going to pretend she's fine and try and be strong, but on the inside she's slowly starting to crack between the fighting and turmoil and the guilt she feels.
and then one day
one day
she's gonna have a sudden freak out because ALL OF THIS IS HER FAULT and THERE'S SO MUCH FIGHTING AND CRAP GOING ON and SHE CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE
and then she might contact Homeworld and try to beg Almandine to take her back, I'm not totally sure yet
but it's gonna be great she's gonna be so sad and upset and cry a lot and feel very very bad and then probably curl up in the fetal position on the ground

 

oh what if what if

we find a hidey hole on Homeworld
and we prep to fight, like @Pinfire Opal teaches us and stuff
and then Rose has her freakout still on Homeworld

and then we have to run awaaaaaaaaay

 

i'm havin so many mad max flashbacks like for real

I know this makes it ahrd to match characters but idk
