dial up sound ...though I can't access the specific video I want from my phone ...here I'll approximate it beep boop boop RRRRRRRRRRRRRNGk k bleep
BEAUTIFUL dial-up impression, @Moss . I'm not old enough to have lived through dial-up though, although my grandmother had it up to...oh, 2011 or so? She isn't exactly a heavy Internet user.
Did anyone listen to those children's playground music from around the world cds? Cause I did, and I get a nostalgia burst anytime I find a song from them.
my parents got actual wifi like last year! ....and then they moved so whatever, but yeah that's a big part of my childhood
@emthyos , I listened to French Playground when I was like 5-6. Hang on, let me find one. It's a little silly. ...many minutes of searching later... It appears the copyright is still being enforced on French Playground
like I can find videos but they've either been removed or are not actually the french playground songs
A song we sang at my singing group a couple days ago has a part that sounds like this: And a part that sounds like this Which both make me nostalgic
There was this shop that sold random-ass kitsch. I remember they had east-Asian style umbrellas and short fake kimonos at one point. It really could have been a shop specializing in anime or manga, in hindsight, but I never went inside so I have no idea. Whenever I think of that, I think of the nineties. Also certain animes (I'm a terrible fucking dork) just have that 'hey, remember the late 80s/early 90s?' Thing going for them. Kroger's is nostalgic too. We went there a lot. I feel... Weird at the thought of going back to one up north. Like I've been displaced in time and am not totally myself.
@ZeroEsper the mall closest to my has one of those! I used to go in with my dad and he'd complain about the innaccurate stuff, cause he used to live in Hong Kong.
i get the most nostalgic over video games, probably because i started playing them so early. it's not on there anymore but one of the first games i ever played was the junkbot game on the lego website. i miss it a lot, haha.
oh, and i think i still have my first reader around in a box somewhere! my great grandma saved it, it was about a dalmation or something.
What a coincidence! Or maybe they're more popular than I think. I miss mine, but I think it closed. Is yours still open?
Ugh, I hate when you have to watch a bunch of places you used to visit close. That's such a sad feeling.
Umm...someone remixed the Windows XP theme into this unholy abomination. Turn down the volume to near zero, and watch this:
