Undertale - Pet dogs and date a skeleton!

Be cool like me and consider speedrunning the genocide run. That'll be my next stop after I get used to the TPE run. Because I like pain because RNG.

So some people on the Undertale subreddit are making a 6-player, co-op mod for Undertale called Grouptale. It's in its first couple days of development, but I think it'll be awesome!

I tried to do a Genocide run again. I broke when I saw, "But nobody came..."
Followed immediately by the most haunting track in the game. I could almost hear, "You feel your sins crawling on your back" being said by someone.

 

Had to reset my Genocide save because its presence on my computer was causing me anxiety

 

Oh wow it sucks that it's causing you so many terrible feelings D: I'm so sorry!

 

It's fine, I'm just not going to do a Genocide run

 

yeah I decided pretty much right away that I'm never doing a genocide run :P I am far too softhearted to do unnecessary cruel things to even pockets of code in a video game. (My first run, where I killed just a couple very early enemies cause I couldn't figure out how to spare them, was bad enough when Flowey, Undyne and Sans chewed me out :P)

So.
My moirail bought me Undertale a little before Christmas. But, the thing is, I've watched playthroughs of both the Genocide and Pacifist runs enough times that I kinda felt like I had already experienced them and I didn't want to make decisions on where to draw the line on killing things to make a neutral run.

SO. What I did was I hooked my computer up to the TV to use it as a sort of projector... then had my 15 year old brother start playing the game. Blind. I tried to tell him as little about it as possible.

These are the highlights of his playthrough so far:

Spoiler: Ridiculous shenanigans

• Named the fallen human “Gurggs”
• Reaction to the “reveal” of Flowey: “WELL THAT GOT DARK QUICKLY”
• Every time he wandered off the path, would shout “GOIN’ OFFROADING”
• Believed Toriel was basically Garnet
• At Toriel’s house, suddenly got convinced she was a murderer, and killed her “in self defense”
• Screamed at Flowey
• Stopped killing after the Ruins
• Facepalmed like five hundred times at Sans and Papyrus and the puns in general
• Got super excited over the dogs
• Pet Doggo even after it was possible to spare him
• Decided he wanted to adopt Lesser Dog
• Was Very Concerned that Greater Dog would crush “Gurggs”
• After Dogamy and Dogaressa: “They’re gonna go pet themselves now, hehe”
• Almost consistently tries to insult monsters but hey at least he’s not killing them anymore
• Discovered that pushing up+down at the same time while at the top of a screen will make Frisk “twitch” a lot, decided this was “Gurggs” throwing a lot of tantrums
• Then proceeded to have “Gurggs” throw a tantrum over not being able to get behind the counter in Snowed Inn
• Immediately decided to flirt with Papyrus
• Refused to go on the date with Papyrus, unfortunately.
  
• Got overly excited when he found out Sans played the trombone, because he himself plays the trombone. Sans is now his favorite character.
• Got overly excited over finding a tutu, thought it was infinitely better than the manly bandanna.
• Now believes all flowers are evil, and that "the demon flower" (Flowey) is the echo flowers' headmaster
• Thought Onionsan was a Pokemon
• Managed to figure out the piano puzzle very easily
• Nearly ragequit after the dog absorbed the artifact
• While fighting the dummy: "Hey, it's a dummy in a dummy's body! :D"

This has been a super fun thing to do with lil bro and I am genuinely curious to see where the game is going to go from here :'D
